PLUTO (Walt Disney) musical -- bird on bone

This is a 6.5" ceramic musical showing Pluto sitting up on all fours on a flowery, grassy area. In front of him, a small yellow bird sits atop his large off-white bone. When the white plastic base is wound up, the musical revolves and plays It's a Small World. The rotation and musical mechanisms both work just fine. This item is in NM+ condition, with a few tiny specks of paint loss on Pluto's brown paint being its only flaws. The musical was manufactured by Schmid sometime during the later 1960s or 1970s, and it bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) hard-stuffed felt doll

This nice item is a 5.75" hard-stuffed doll of Pluto, who has a soft felt or crushed velvet-type covering. He has glued-on facial features and bendable hind legs and tail. This doll is in NM+ condition and it still retains its original manufacturer's label, which is sewn securely into Pluto's lower left side. He was manufactured by Woolno in 1966.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) Leeds wall pocket

This lovely vintage item is a 7.5" ceramic wall pocket / planter of Pluto, who is shown sitting on all fours and looking behind him as he pulls a wagon cart by the tether that has been placed around his neck. This item has nice pastel colors and gold accents. It was manufactured by Leeds sometime during the 1950s as part of a much larger set of Walt Disney cartoon character banks, figures, planters, figural lamps, and wall pockets. Pluto is undamaged and in NM to NM+ condition, with one blue mark on the underside of his feet being his only noteworthy detracting point.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) blue plastic figure

During the later 1970s (1978 in this specific instance), Durham Industries released a large collection of Walt Disney cartoon character plastic figures. Each item they made was plastic and produced in a variety of single, solid colors. This 4.75" tall one of a prancing Pluto is deep blue in color, with white-painted eyes. This item has no damage but it does have some minor surface wear, leaving it in EX+ condition overall.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) vinyl nodder

This fun item is a 7.5" vinyl nodder showing Pluto sitting on all fours on a round, green base, looking up to the sky and grinning. He wears a red dog collar and has movable ears. When his head is touched, it bobbles away for quite awhile before stopping. This item probably dates to the 1960s or earlier 1970s, and it bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking. There is no indication anywhere on the item as to who made it. With minimal paint wear and no damage, Pluto is in no worse than near mint condition.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) Seiberling figure

This is a 4.5x6.5" solid rubber (or solid latex) figure of Pluto, who is shown walking along. This item was manufactured by Seiberling Latex sometime during the 1930s or 1940s. The tip of Pluto's nose has chipped off and his tail is no longer present. As you can see from the photograph accompanying this description, Pluto is dingy in appearance, too. Overall, he is in Fair condition. He's a rare find--such a shame he's not aging so well!!

PLUTO (Walt Disney) small Christmas stocking

This is a 5.75" felt Christmas stocking that is primarily white in color, with a red top that has a gold brocade sewn into it. The front has a fun image of Pluto sitting up, wearing a Santa Claus hat, and holding a red-and-green stocking in his mouth. This item is in nearly perfect condition. It probably dates to the later 1990s or earlier 2000s, and the copyright information does not indicate who made this item.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) Christmas ornament -- arms apart

This is a 3.5" flocked plastic Christmas ornament showing Pluto sitting on his hind legs with his arms spread wide apart. The ornament is in mint condition and it remains sealed inside of its original packaging. The cardboard header card shows Goofy walking with an axe, Mickey Mouse dragging a freshly-cut Christmas tree, Minnie Mouse holding mistletoe, and Daisy Duck holding a holly wreath. This Pluto ornament was manufactured by Union Wadding Company sometime during the 1970s as part of a larger collection of Walt Disney cartoon character ornaments.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) carnival chalk figure

This uncommon find is an 8" carnival chalk figure of Pluto, who is shown sitting on his haunches. He is primarily mustard yellow in color, with a red dog collar and black accents. This item is in near mint condition, with minor surface wear on his snout. There is no indication anywhere on this item as to who made it or when it was manufactured. In all likelihood, Pluto dates to the 1950s.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) bisque figurine -- eating bone

This is a 1.75" tall by 2.5" long bisque figurine showing Pluto crouching forward, contentedly gnawing on a white dog bone. He is shown on a pale tan oval base that is supposed to look like the ground. He wears a blue dog collar and his tail drapes down across his back. Pluto was manufactured in 1987, but his copyright information does not indicate who made him. He was sold as part of a larger Walt Disney cartoon character figurine set, and we have many of the other items from this set in stock at this time as well. Pluto is in mint condition.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) wooden push puppet

This is a 5.5" wooden push puppet of Pluto, who is shown perched atop a red round plastic base. When the underside of the base is depressed, Pluto collapses at the joints, just as he should; and he uprights himself again when the base is released. This item is 100% complete and 100% original. It was manufactured by Kohner Brothers sometime during the 1950s, along with other wooden Walt Disney cartoon character push puppets. The gold lettering on the front of the base is entirely legible and in nice condition. This item is in near mint condition overall, with a paint overrun on the left side of the base being its only consequential flaw.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) large hollow ceramic figure

This is an 8.5" hollow ceramic figure of Pluto. It bears no copyright information and, consequently, may have been a home-made, unlicensed product. It was probably manufactured/made sometime during the 1970s or 1980s. Pluto is shown with blue eyes, black ears and nose, maroon/brown dog collar, and pink tongue. He is sitting on all fours, panting happily. There are two tiny (1/16") spots that were never glazed and one very small (1/8") recolored rough spot on Pluto's tail. Overall, this item is in near mint condition.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) squeak toy -- butt up

This lovely item is a 3.75x6.5" soft, pliable rubber squeak toy showing Pluto crouching on his stomach with his butt up in the air and his ears perked forward. When squeezed, this item gives off a hearty shrill squeaking sound. It probably dates to the 1950s or 1960s and is in EX+ condition, with no damage, minor paint loss, and some superficial bumpiness on the underside of Pluto's front feet. There is no indication on this item as to who made it.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) large walking squeak toy

This fun item is a 9.5" rubber squeak toy showing Pluto walking along in mid-stride. His tail and ears are extended behind him, and he pants. Pluto wears a blue dog collar. He is banana yellow in color with brown and black accents. When squeezed, his head gives off a hearty squeaking sound. This item is free of damage and in EX+ condition, with several small spots of minor paint loss and a few small white surface marks scattered about. Pluto was manufactured in Italy sometime during the 1960s, and his copyright information does not indicate who made him.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) wind-up toy

This fun item is a 5.5" plastic wind-up toy of Pluto, who has a metal key and a metal tail. When the key is wound up and Pluto is set down on a hard surface, his tail spins in circles, causing him to wobble around. The wind-up and wobbling actions work perfectly on this item. Pluto has very minimal paint loss and no damage, and he is in NM+ condition, making him one of the nicest examples of this particular toy that we've ever seen. He was manufactured along with Goofy and Donald Duck counterparts by Marx, sometime during the 1950s or 1960s.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) glass Christmas ornament

This is a 4.75" European-style glass Christmas ornament showing Pluto sitting on his haunches, wearing a Santa Claus hat. He has silver letters in his mouth and holds a large green mail sack between his legs. This item is in mint condition and it has never been removed from its original box. The box has a nice image of Mickey Mouse on the lower front right corner. Pluto was manufactured in 2000 by Energizer (copyrighted here as Eveready Battery Company) as part of a set that also included Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy.

This is a 3.5" bisque figurine of Pluto, who is shown sitting and staring happily at a pale green crab that is sitting between his left front and left rear legs. This figurine stands on a pale yellow oval base. It is free of damage and there is a single speck of paint loss on the back of Pluto's right ear. This item is, therefore, in NM+ condition. It bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking, but it gives no indication of who the manufacturer was. This is probably a 1970s item.

This lovely item is a 6.75" ceramic planter showing Pluto with a yellow rope over his neck, lugging a wooden wheelbarrow of sorts behind him. He sits up, leans forward, but looks over his shoulder at the wheelbarrow. This item was manufactured by Leeds sometime during the 1950s. It is incised Pluto (c) Walt Disney on the underside. The item is undamaged and in nearly perfect condition.

This fun item is a 2.25" long pewter figure of Pluto, who is shown trying to take a nap atop an oval base. The item is in mint condition. It bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking and probably dates to the 1970s. There is no indication anywhere on Pluto as to who made him.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) hard vinyl mechanical bank

During the 1970s, Animal Toys Plus released a series of hard vinyl Walt Disney banks. Included in that series were Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and this one of Pluto. (We have all of them in stock at this time.) Pluto's left hand has a slot in it for holding the coin. When the arm is lowered, the coin can be placed directly into the roof of the dog house, which serves as the bank. Pluto is shown sitting in front of this small green, brown, and black dog house, atop a circular black base. The original coin trap is no longer present. This bank stands 8.75" tall. There are a few small spots of paint loss, particularly on Pluto's nose and on the edges of the dog house's roof. There are also a few very small marks on the back of the bank. Overall, this item is in EX condition.

This is a 5.75" hollow ivory-colored plastic figure of Pluto, who is shown sitting up on all fours, facing his left side as he pants. This item is in nearly perfect condition. It bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking and probably dates to the 1960s or earlier 1970s. There is no indication on the item regarding who made it.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) hand puppet

If you are a collector of hand puppets or of Pluto items, you will never find one in nicer condition than this one! This is a mint condition, sealed-in-its-original-package figural hand puppet, measuring 10.5" from top to bottom. The puppet has a cloth figural body, showing Pluto sitting on his haunches with his arms bent and outwardly extended. It has a vinyl head, showing Pluto with both ears raised and bent forward, with an angry expression on his face. This item was manufactured during the 1970s for distribution at the Walt Disney World park, and was sold as part of a larger collection of Walt Disney cartoon character hand puppets. (We also have the Donald Duck counterpart in its original package, as well as a few of the others in this set without their packaging.) This item bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking on the header card and on its manufacturer's label, and there is no indication of who made the item. Condition-wise, the only thing to note other than how beautiful this item is, is that the cellophane and header card are coming apart on the right side.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) jointed plastic / vinyl figure

This unusual find is a 6.5x8" jointed hollow plastic or lightweight vinyl figure of Pluto, who has movable ears, arms, head, legs, and a curled-up tail. He also has blue eyes. This item was manufactured sometime during the 1960s by Multiple Toy Corp. Pluto is in nearly perfect condition and is a pretty rare find.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) jointed vinyl figure

This is a lightweight jointed vinyl figure of Pluto, measuring 7.75" tall and 9" long. Pluto wears a red plastic dog collar around his neck and has movable ears, legs, and tail. He was manufactured by R. Dakin Company during the early 1970s as part of a large collection of cartoon character figures, many others of which we also have in stock at this time. Pluto is free of damage. Paint wear is limited to the pads underneath his feet, and his hind legs have some light superficial scratches on them from children having played with Pluto over the years. Overall, he is in EX+ to NM- condition.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) rubber banks -- two sizes

Here you are looking at two substantively similar items, differing only in size and condition. The smaller one is 5.5" tall and the larger one is 6.5" tall. Both are pliable rubber banks of Pluto, who is shown sitting on all fours, panting. On the backs of their heads, both Plutos have an area marked that can be sliced to create the bank's coin slot, although neither has been cut for that purpose. Underneath their bottoms, both Plutos have holes that could be enlarged for removal of the coins. These items were manufactured by Walter J. Jamieson Inc. and they probably date to the 1960s or 1970s. The larger of the two is in NM+ condition, with just a fleck or two of minor paint loss. The smaller of the two is in EX- condition, with a nick on the top of the left eyebrow and a few small nicks on the side of Pluto's left foot.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) Shaw / American Pottery figurine -- crouching

This is a 3.75x5.75" ceramic figurine showing Pluto crouching on the ground with his behind raised in the air, as he sneaks along to sniff something. This lovely item dates to the mid-1940s and was manufactured by Shaw / American Pottery. It is undamaged and in NM+ condition.

This is a 3" ceramic figurine of Pluto, who is shown sitting on his haunches atop a blue oval base bearing his name in black lettering. His front right paw is raised. This item is in NM to NM+ condition, with a single spot of paint loss on Pluto's lower mouth (clearly visible in the photograph accompanying this description) being his only flaw. This item was manufactured sometime during the 1960s along with Mickey Mouse and Goofy counterparts. There is no indication anywhere on Pluto as to who made him.

This is a 5.5" vinyl squeak toy of Pluto, who is shown sitting on all fours, with his right ear raised and "perked up." He is pale yellow in color with black ears, black pie-style eyes, a black nose, red dog collar around his neck, and brown accents on his joints and toenails. When squeezed, Pluto gives off a honking sound. He bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking, inside of a circle that also pictures an elephant. The company that made him is located in Italy, and they also made Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse counterparts to this item. Pluto probably dates to the 1960s. He is free of damage but does have paint wear on his right pupil, his raised right ear, his dog collar, and on most of his toenails. Overall, he is in EX condition.

This is a 6.25" vinyl squeak toy showing Pluto sitting on his haunches, head raised, looking upward, and licking his chops with his tongue sticking out of the right side of his mouth. He is orange in color with yellow ears and an off-white face. When squeezed firmly, Pluto gives off a hearty squeaking sound. He is free of damage but does have signs of paint wear on his eyes, nose, ears, and tongue. Overall, he is in EX to EX+ condition. Pluto bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking and probably dates to the mid-1960s. He was made by Holland Hall, which also manufactured a number of other Walt Disney cartoon character squeak toys, a few of which we have in stock at this time as well.

PLUTO & THE ARISTOCATS (Walt Disney) collector's plate

This is a 7.75" porcelain collector's plate commemorating Mother's Day of 1977. It shows a dazed-looking Pluto resting on a green-and-pink area rug while the Aristocats kittens climb all over him. The plate is in mint condition and it comes with its original box, which is in nice condition, too. This item was manufactured by Schmid as the fourth in an annual series of Walt Disney cartoon character Mother's Day plates.

PLUTO & FIGARO (Walt Disney) musical

This tough-to-find item is an 8.5" ceramic musical showing Pluto leaning on top of the red roof of Figaro's white house while, inside, Figaro pops out and looks up at Pluto. When the white plastic base is wound up, this musical rotates and plays It's a Small World. Both the musical and rotation mechanisms work jut fine on this item. Pluto is in virtually perfect condition, other than some writing on the underside of the base (visible only when the item is turned upside-down), showing that it was given as a Christmas present in 1980. This item was manufactured by Schmid and it bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking.

POCAHONTAS (Walt Disney) Hallmark ornament

This is a 3x4.25" resin Christmas ornament showing Pocahontas paddling a wooden canoe as she looks over her left shoulder with her hair flowing behind her. The ornament is in mint condition and it comes with its original box. The box has minor edge wear but is intact and in nice condition. Pocahontas was manufactured by Hallmark in 1995.

This is a 7" hard vinyl bank showing Pocahontas and John Smith from their midriffs upward, embracing one another lovingly. The bank's coin slot is located on the back of John's back and the original stopper is present underneath the base. This bank is undamaged and in NM- condition, with one mark on John's left shirt sleeve and three more just like it on the top/back of his blonde hair. The bank probably dates to the 1990s or earlier 2000s, and there is no indication anywhere on it as to who made it.

POGO (Walt Kelly) cup/mug

This is a 4.25" blue plastic cup/mug showing Pogo standing and looking over his right shoulder. He wears a yellow hat with a black band and a red-and-black striped shirt. This item was manufactured during the early 1970s as part of a complete set of Pogo character cups/mugs. There is no indication anywhere on this item as to who made it. Pogo is undamaged and the cup/mug shows only very light evidence of use or wear, leaving it in NM+ condition.

POGO (Walt Kelly) vinyl figure

This is a 4.25" vinyl figure of Pogo, from Walt Kelly's long-running comic strip of the same name. He has a swiveling head, a yellow crumpled hat, and an orange shirt with black vertical stripes. Pogo holds his left hand on his belly and his right hand behind his back. He was manufactured in 1969 as part of a set of six detergent premium giveaway figures that also included Albert Alligator, Churchy LaFemme, Howland Owl, Beauregard Hound, and Porky Pine. We currently have all of them in stock. Pogo is very bright and colorful, with very little paint wear. He is in NM to NM+ condition.

POINDEXTER (Felix the Cat) cat toy

This is a 4.5" stuffed cloth cat toy of the scientific boy genius, Poindexter. He wears a black mortarboard, black horned-rim glassed with blue-grey lenses, and a white lab coat. He stands with both hands clasped together in front of him. Poindexter has a black string with a red plastic ring and a metal bell attached to the top of his mortarboard. He is in mint condition and is filled with stuffing and catnip. Although he himself is unmarked, he was manufactured in 1997 and was a copyrighted item at that time. (We know this from another that we had in stock awhile back, which was in mint condition and sealed in its original packaging.)

POKEY (Gumby) foam rubber bendy

This is a 12" foam rubber stuffed bendable doll of Gumby's sidekick, Pokey, manufactured by Sher Stuff in 1983. Originally, Pokey was sold along with a Gumby counterpart, which we also have in stock at this time. Pokey has a darker red material covering than the picture suggests, a black corduroy-type mane and tail, and glued-on plastic eyes. He is in nearly perfect condition.

POKEY (Gumby) soaky

This item is part of a set of three (the others being Gumby and Blockhead) soakies manufactured by Prema Toy Company in 1987. (We also have Gumby in stock at this time.) It is a 9.5" vinyl hair conditioner bottle that still retains all of its original contents. On the side of the item that is not shown in the picture, Pokey has his manufacturer's sticker, which is in perfect condition. Other than some very light surface scratches, this item is in perfect condition.

POKEY (Gumby) plush Santa doll

This is a 12.5" soft plush doll of Pokey, who wears a Santa Claus hat and a red-and-white muffler around his neck. He is shown eating some sprigs of mistletoe. This doll is in mint condition and it retains its original manufacturer's labels (sewn into Pokey's behind) and its original cardboard hang tag (affixed to Pokey's black mane). It was manufactured in 2000 by Prema Toy along with a Gumby counterpart.

POKEY (Gumby) wind-up toy

In 1966, Lakeside manufactured two vinyl wind-up toys of Gumby and Pokey, including this one of Pokey that stands 4" tall. Pokey is bright orange in color with a black mane and white eyes with black pupils. He is shown sitting with his legs in front of him and his front legs/arms crossed by his chest. When the knob is wound up, this item vibrates and bounces around in circles on any smooth, hard surface. The wind-up mechanism and vibrating motion both work fine, but probably not as vigorously as they did when Pokey was brand new. The bottom of this item has a cardboard covering and is the only part of the exterior that is not vinyl. Pokey has a few very small marks on him and some light surface scratching on the bottom from bouncing all over the place. He is in EX to EX+ condition.

This is a 2.25" rubber figure of Pokey, who is shown standing on all fours. He is orange in color with a black mane and a black tail. This is the ORIGINAL vinyl & cloth hand puppet of Pokey, measuring 9.25" from top to bottom. Pokey's head is soft and undamaged. It has some very minor paint wear but the paint generally is in very nice condition. Pokey has four very small (1/8") green marks on his vinyl head that are of unknown origin. The orange cotton cloth body has "Gumby's Pal Pokey" printed on it in fading but still easily-legible green lettering on the front. There is a small (less than 1/4") fraying area on the neckline where the cloth is stitched into the vinyl puppet head. Otherwise, the cloth is wrinkled but without damage or problems. The original manufacturer's label is present and in great shape. This item was manufactured by Lakeside in 1965. Overall, it is in VG condition. We have Pokey's counterpart piece, Gumby, in stock at this time as well. If you decide to purchase both in a single transaction, we'll drop the purchase price for the pair to $50.

POKEY (Gumby) plush doll

Got any unruly children you care to scare into obedience, or any post-Baby Boomers to whom you would like to give some bad childhood memories? If you do, perhaps this item is for you! This homely creature is a soft plush doll of Gumby's pal, Pokey. He stands 6.5" tall and is bright orange in color, with black plush mane, black plush tail, and glued-on white-and-blue plastic eyes. Pokey has thick wires inside of his legs, enabling them to be bent into position. He retains his original manufacturer's label, which is in nice condition and sewn securely into his front left leg. It indicates that Pokey was made in 1988 by Ace Novelty. The bendy wire inside of Pokey's rear right leg occasionally pops out of his heel, but it replaces inside of the plush fairly easily. This is this item's only flaw . . . other than its overall lack of attractiveness!

This is a 7.75" plush doll of Gumby's pal, Pokey. The doll is bright orange in color with a black mane, a black tail, a pink tongue, and glued-on plastic bulbous eyes. The doll is in near mint condition, with minor paint wear on Pokey's eyeballs and with one of his nostrils having come loose. The doll retains both of its original manufacturer's labels, both of which are sewn securely into his rear end. Pokey was made by Nanco in 2000.

POLICE ACADEMY crash cycle

This rare find is a 4.25x10" plastic Police Academy Crash Cycle that can be used with separately-sold Zed and Eugene Tackleberry action figures to ride the toy. The item must be assembled, and it comes with ejection seat action. It is in mint, unused condition and comes with its original box. The box has some edge wear and a small spot on the upper right-hand corner of the upright tab where the original price sticker's removal caused some wear. But the box is intact and in nice shape generally, with colorful graphics all around it. This item was manufactured by Kenner in 1989.

PONGO (101 Dalmatians / Walt Disney) ceramic figurine

This is a 5" ceramic figurine showing Pongo sitting on his haunches, panting, and holding his left ear "perked up" toward his left side. The figurine is in mint condition. It was manufactured sometime during the 1960s as part of a larger set of 101 Dalmatians ceramic figurines. Pongo bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright stamp but there is no indication anywhere on him as to who made him.

This is a 2.5" plastic push puppet featuring Pongo, the father dog from Walt Disney's feature-length animated cartoon 101 Dalmatians. He is white in color with black spots, a black left ear, and a red dog collar around his neck. When the underside of the yellow oval base is depressed, Pongo collapses at the joints. The push puppet action works perfectly. This item is complete and all original, including its original gold foil manufacturer's label. It was made by Kohner Brothers during the 1960s or 1970s and bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking. Pongo has no damage anywhere on him, but there is some minor paint wear on him. Overall, this toy is in NM- to NM condition.

This is a 4x5.25" ceramic figurine of Pongo, the father dog in Walt Disney's feature-length animated cartoon 101 Dalmatians. He is shown sitting down, with his front paws crossed and his tail resting on his right hind leg. Pongo wears a red dog collar with a yellow medallion around his neck. This item bears the Disney China copyright marking and probably dates to the mid-to-late 1980s. It is undamaged and has minor paint loss on the dog collar, leaving Pongo in near mint condition overall.

This is a 5" plastic trophy showing Garfield lovingly caressing the back of Pookie's head. The trophy is in virtually perfect condition. It retains its original red felt protective undercovering and its original foil manufacturer's label. Pookie and Garfield were manufactured by Aviva sometime during the 1980s.

This one is in NM+ condition and it retains its original thin gold lame hanging cord.

This is a 5.5" vinyl canteen of Pop from Kellogg's Rice Krispies trio of Snap, Crackle, and Pop. The canteen is bright yellow in color with a white snap-on top. The front has an inlaid paper decal showing Pop in a yellow hat with a black brim and a red coat with yellow buttons. This item was manufactured for Kellogg's in 1973 as part of a complete set of such canteens. It is in NM to NM+ condition, with minor wear along the lower edge of the decal being the item's only flaw . . . and it's a minor one at that!
