RAGGEDY ANDY & RAGGEDY ANN ceramic musical, standing by fence

r0600010.jpg (20698 bytes)  This is a 7.75" ceramic musical of Raggedy Andy and Raggedy Ann, who are shown standing arm in arm on a grassy area, in front of a low wooden fence.  Raggedy Andy is wearing a blue cap with a white border, a white shirt with two red stripes on it, blue pants, white socks with a single red stripe on them, and black shoes.  Raggedy Ann is wearing an aqua/blue dress with a white apron, matching bloomers, and socks and shoes like Andy's.  When the base is turned, the musical rotates and the musical plays the theme from the film Love Story.  The rotating action works just fine and the music plays pretty clearly too.  This is probably a 1970s item, although that is not indicated on the musical anywhere.  The manufacturer is also unknown.  There are several small spots of paint loss on this item, most notably on the back of Raggedy Ann's hair and on the back of the fence along which the two of them are standing.  This item is in EX condition.

RAGGEDY ANDY & RAGGEDY ANN ceramic musical

This is a 7" tall ceramic musical of Raggedy Andy and Raggedy Ann, who are shown sitting with one another atop a grassy knoll, with a blue and a red school book in front of them.   Raggedy Andy is wearing a white cap with a blue border and a blue sailor's outfit with a white neckerchief.  Raggedy Ann is wearing a red dress with a white apron.   On the front of the musical, in black lettering, the caption reads "School days, school days, dear old golden rule days."  When the plastic base is wound up, the musical turns and plays the song "School Days."  The wind-up mechanism and music both work perfectly.  Overall, this item is in VG- condition.   It has quite a few very small, shallow chips in the paint, some of which are just deep enough to constitute shallow chips in the ceramic.  This musical was manufactured in 1972 by Chadwick-Miller.
