PLUTO (Walt Disney) wind-up
hopping toy
This is a
3.25" plastic white knob wind-up hopping toy of Pluto. He is shown
sitting on his haunches with his front legs and head raised, tongue sticking out
of the left side of his mouth as he happily licks his chops. When the knob
is wound up and Pluto is placed on a hard surface, he hops around in
circles. The hopping mechanism works perfectly. This item bears the
Walt Disney Productions copyright marking and probably dates to the 1960s or
1970s. It was manufactured by Tomy. Pluto is in mint condition and
he has a single tiny spot of added paint (from the factory) just below the
bottom of his nose.

This is a 5"
green solid plastic figure of Pluto, who is shown walking along, with his front
left paw raised and bent downward. The figure is in NM+ condition. It was
manufactured by Marx in 1971 along with numerous other Walt Disney cartoon
character figures, each of which was produced in several bright monochromatic
colors.

This is a rubber
bendy toy of Pluto, measuring 3" tall and 5.5" from snout to
tail. He is mustard-colored with a black nose, black ears, black dog
collar around the neck, and black tail. The tail is extremely thin and it
is quite surprising to see it fully intact and unharmed after all these
years. Pluto has no damage anywhere on him, with a few spots of paint loss
on his ears and nose. He is in EX to EX+ condition, and all of the bendy
wires are contained securely inside of the rubber. Pluto was manufactured
by Lakeside during the 1960s along with many other cartoon character bendy
toys/figures, and he bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking.

puppet
This is a 2.5"
plastic push puppet of Pluto, who is shown standing on all fours with his tail
up in the air. He has pivoting ears and he is collapsible at the leg
joints when the underside of the green oval base is depressed. This item
is in virtually perfect condition and it retains its original gold foil
manufacturer's sticker, too. Although it is difficult to read in the
picture accompanying this description, in person, the sticker's red writing is
very legible and easy to read. This item was manufactured by Kohner Bros.

mini-push puppets of other Walt Disney cartoon characters. (We have

three-dimensional wall plaque
This is a 6"
raised-relief plastic wall plaque of Pluto, who is shown from the neck
upwards. He is smiling and looking over his left side. He wears a
dark blue bowtie with red polka dots on it. This item probably dates to
the 1960s or 1970s, and there is no indication anywhere on it as to who made
it. Pluto is undamaged and has a few small spots of minor paint loss on
his raised edges, as well as some surface scratches on the back of the plaque,
where it comes into contact with the wall on which it is hung. Overall,
this item is in NM- condition. As you can see from the image on the right,
we also have another of this item available, in its original box, in nearly
perfect condition. The box is complete and intact, but it does have
considerable wear and flap tearing. It also has colorful graphics of
Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Pluto (which are the three items comprising the
set of wall plaques from which this item originally came). The box shows
that this item was manufactured by Sutton and Sons.

(Walt Disney) mystery action toy
This uncommon find
is a 6" plastic battery-operated mystery action toy of Pluto, who is shown
straddling a red log. In front of him, there is a blue trash can with a green
worm poking its head out from it. This toy has never been used and it is in mint
condition, remaining sealed inside of its original box. The box has colorful
photos on it showing this toy, and on back, this toy and its Goofy, Mickey
Mouse, and Donald Duck counterparts. Pluto was manufactured sometime during the
1960s or 1970s, and he bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking.
Surprisingly, the box does not indicate who made this item.

This is a 6.5"
soft rubber squeak toy showing Pluto sitting on all fours. He wears a red
dog collar and is shown licking his chops, tongue sticking out of the right side
of his mouth. When this item is squeezed, Pluto gives off a hearty
squeaking sound. It was manufactured in 1966 in France and bears both the
date and the Walt Disney Productions copyright markings underneath Pluto's feet,
along with Garantie. This item is free of damage but does have some paint
wear on Pluto's dog collar (visible in the picture) and a small smudge mark on
his behind. Overall, it is in EX+ condition.

This Pluto
item is a pale
peach color, with black-painted and red accents. This is a 3.75" tall vinyl
squeak toy of Pluto, who is shown in a sit-up-and-beg pose. When squeezed, this item
gives off a surprisingly hearty squeaking sound. The vinyl is completely without
damage and paint wear is minimal on this item. Although no manufacturer is
indicated, the Walt Disney Productions (W.D.P.) marking appears on Pluto's backside,
suggesting that he was made sometime during the 1960s. Overall, it is in EX+
condition. This particular squeak toy is one of the less-commonly-found Pluto squeak
toy items made over the years.

This is a 5.5"
tall by 7.5" long firmly stuffed cloth doll of Pluto, who is shown standing
on all four legs with his snout aimed toward the ground, as if he is sniffing
it. He has glued-on felt facial features, black felt ears and tail, and a
red vinyl dog collar around his neck. Pluto retains his original
manufacturer's label, which is in very nice condition and sewn securely into his
rear end. The label gives no indication as to who made this doll. It
is copyrighted with the Walt Disney Productions copyright mark, and probably
dates to the 1970s. Pluto is in NM+ condition.

This is a 7.5"
ceramic figurine showing Pluto sitting on his haunches, happily looking behind
him over his left shoulder. This item was manufactured by Leeds sometime
during the 1950s, as part of a larger collection of Walt Disney cartoon
character banks, planters, wall pockets, and figures. This one is one of
the figurines, which are generally more difficult to find than the
planters. Pluto is undamaged and in nearly perfect condition.

1970s (1978 in this specific instance), Durham Industries released a large
collection of Walt Disney cartoon character plastic figures. Each item
they made was plastic and produced in a variety of single, solid colors.
This 4.75" tall one of a prancing Pluto is deep blue in color, with
white-painted eyes. This item has no damage but it does have some minor
surface wear, leaving it in EX+ condition overall.

EX to EX+ condition, with surface dinginess from having been played with over
the years being his main condition-related issue. Pluto retains his
original manufacturer's label, which is in nice condition and sewn securely into
Pluto's left hip. He was manufactured by Gund sometime during the 1950s or
1960s, and he bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking.

1970s, and it bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking. There
is no indication anywhere on the item as to who made it. With minimal

This is a
1.75" tall by 2.5" long bisque figurine showing Pluto crouching
forward, contentedly gnawing on a white dog bone. He is shown on a pale
tan oval base that is supposed to look like the ground. He wears a blue
dog collar and his tail drapes down across his back. Pluto was
manufactured in 1987, but his copyright information does not indicate who made
him. He was sold as part of a larger Walt Disney cartoon character
figurine set, and we have many of the other items from this set in stock at this
time as well. Pluto is in mint condition.

manufactured/made sometime during the 1970s or 1980s. Pluto is shown with blue eyes,
black ears and nose, maroon/brown dog collar, and pink tongue. He is sitting on all
fours, panting happily. There are two tiny (1/16") spots that were never glazed
and one very small (1/8") recolored rough spot on Pluto's tail. Overall, this
item is in near mint condition.

This item is free of damage and in EX+ condition, with several small spots of
minor paint loss and a few small white surface marks scattered about.

Christmas ornament
This is a
4.75" European-style glass Christmas ornament showing Pluto sitting on his
haunches, wearing a Santa Claus hat. He has silver letters in his mouth
and holds a large green mail sack between his legs. This item is in mint
condition and it has never been removed from its original box. The box has
a nice image of Mickey Mouse on the lower front right corner. Pluto was
manufactured in 2000 by Energizer (copyrighted here as Eveready Battery Company)
as part of a set that also included Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy.

therefore, in NM+ condition. It bears the Walt Disney Productions
copyright marking, but it gives no indication of who the manufacturer was.

packaging. Pluto was made during the late 1970s as part of a larger
collection of Walt Disney cartoon character pencil sharpeners, but the copyright
information does not indicate who made him. The cardboard header card has
colorful graphics of Disneyland's Magic Castle along with images of Pluto,
Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Minnie Mouse.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) hard vinyl mechanical bank
During
the 1970s, Animal Toys Plus released a series of hard vinyl Walt Disney banks.
Included in that series were Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and this one of
Pluto. (We have all of them in stock at this time.) Pluto's left hand has a
slot in it for holding the coin. When the arm is lowered, the coin can be placed
directly into the roof of the dog house, which serves as the bank. Pluto is shown
sitting in front of this small green, brown, and black dog house, atop a circular black
base. The original coin trap is no longer present. This bank stands 8.75"
tall. There are a few small spots of paint loss, particularly on Pluto's nose and on
the edges of the dog house's roof. There are also a few very small marks on the back
of the bank. Overall, this item is in EX condition.

If you are a
collector of hand puppets or of Pluto items, you will never find one in nicer
condition than this one! This is a mint condition,
sealed-in-its-original-package figural hand puppet, measuring 10.5" from
top to bottom. The puppet has a cloth figural body, showing Pluto sitting
on his haunches with his arms bent and outwardly extended. It has a vinyl
head, showing Pluto with both ears raised and bent forward, with an angry
expression on his face. This item was manufactured during the 1970s for
distribution at the Walt Disney World park, and was sold as part of a larger
collection of Walt Disney cartoon character hand puppets. (We also have
the Donald Duck counterpart in its original package, as well as a few of the
others in this set without their packaging.) This item bears the Walt
Disney Productions copyright marking on the header card and on its
manufacturer's label, and there is no indication of who made the item.
Condition-wise, the only thing to note other than how beautiful this item is, is
that the cellophane and header card are coming apart on the right side.

This is a
lightweight jointed vinyl figure of Pluto, measuring 7.75" tall and 9"
long. Pluto wears a red plastic dog collar around his neck and has movable
ears, legs, and tail. He was manufactured by R. Dakin Company during the
early 1970s as part of a large collection of cartoon character figures, many
others of which we also have in stock at this time. Pluto is free of
damage. Paint wear is limited to the pads underneath his feet, and his
hind legs have some light superficial scratches on them from children having
played with Pluto over the years. Overall, he is in EX+ to NM- condition.

banks -- two sizes
Here you are
looking at two substantively similar items, differing only in size and
condition. The smaller one is 5.5" tall and the larger one is
6.5" tall. Both are pliable rubber banks of Pluto, who is shown
sitting on all fours, panting. On the backs of their heads, both Plutos
have an area marked that can be sliced to create the bank's coin slot, although
neither has been cut for that purpose. Underneath their bottoms, both
Plutos have holes that could be enlarged for removal of the coins. These
items were manufactured by Walter J. Jamieson Inc. and they probably date to the
1960s or 1970s. The larger of the two is in NM+ condition, with just a
fleck or two of minor paint loss. The smaller of the two is in EX-
condition, with a nick on the top of the left eyebrow and a few small nicks on
the side of Pluto's left foot.

This is a 5.5"
vinyl squeak toy of Pluto, who is shown sitting on all fours, with his right ear
raised and "perked up." He is pale yellow in color with black
ears, black pie-style eyes, a black nose, red dog collar around his neck, and
brown accents on his joints and toenails. When squeezed, Pluto gives off a
honking sound. He bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking,
inside of a circle that also pictures an elephant. The company that made
him is located in Italy, and they also made Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse
counterparts to this item. Pluto probably dates to the 1960s. He is
free of damage but does have paint wear on his right pupil, his raised right
ear, his dog collar, and on most of his toenails. Overall, he is in EX
condition.

This is a
4.25" blue plastic cup/mug showing Pogo standing and looking over his right
shoulder. He wears a yellow hat with a black band and a red-and-black
striped shirt. This item was manufactured during the early 1970s as part
of a complete set of Pogo character cups/mugs. There is no indication
anywhere on this item as to who made it. Pogo is undamaged and the cup/mug
shows only very light evidence of use or wear, leaving it in NM+ condition.

This is a
4.25" vinyl figure of Pogo, from Walt Kelly's long-running comic strip of
the same name. He has a swiveling head, a yellow crumpled hat, and an
orange shirt with black vertical stripes. Pogo holds his left hand on his
belly and his right hand behind his back. He was manufactured in 1969 as
part of a set of six detergent premium giveaway figures that also included
Albert Alligator, Churchy LaFemme, Howland Owl, Beauregard Hound, and Porky
Pine. We currently have all of them in stock. Pogo is very bright
and colorful, with very little paint wear. He is in NM to NM+ condition.

This is a 4.5"
stuffed cloth cat toy of the scientific boy genius, Poindexter. He wears a
black mortarboard, black horned-rim glassed with blue-grey lenses, and a white
lab coat. He stands with both hands clasped together in front of
him. Poindexter has a black string with a red plastic ring and a metal
bell attached to the top of his mortarboard. He is in mint condition and
is filled with stuffing and catnip. Although he himself is unmarked, he
was manufactured in 1997 and was a copyrighted item at that time. (We know
this from another that we had in stock awhile back, which was in mint condition
and sealed in its original packaging.)

POKEY (Gumby) foam rubber bendy
This
is a 12" foam rubber stuffed bendable doll of Gumby's sidekick, Pokey, manufactured
by Sher Stuff in 1983. Originally, Pokey was sold along with a Gumby counterpart,
which we also have in stock at this time. Pokey has a darker red material covering
than the picture suggests, a black corduroy-type mane and tail, and glued-on plastic eyes.
He is in nearly perfect condition.

This
item is part of a set of three (the others being Gumby and Blockhead) soakies manufactured
by Prema Toy Company in 1987. (We also have Gumby in stock at this time.) It
is a 9.5" vinyl hair conditioner bottle that still retains all of its original
contents. On the side of the item that is not shown in the picture, Pokey has his
manufacturer's sticker, which is in perfect condition. Other than some very light
surface scratches, this item is in perfect condition.

This is a
12.5" soft plush doll of Pokey, who wears a Santa Claus hat and a
red-and-white muffler around his neck. He is shown eating some sprigs of
mistletoe. This doll is in mint condition and it retains its original
manufacturer's labels (sewn into Pokey's behind) and its original cardboard hang
tag (affixed to Pokey's black mane). It was manufactured in 2000 by Prema
Toy along with a Gumby counterpart.

POKEY (Gumby) wind-up toy
In
1966, Lakeside manufactured two vinyl wind-up toys of Gumby and Pokey, including this one
of Pokey that stands 4" tall. Pokey is bright orange in color with a black mane
and white eyes with black pupils. He is shown sitting with his legs in front of him
and his front legs/arms crossed by his chest. When the knob is wound up, this item
vibrates and bounces around in circles on any smooth, hard surface. The wind-up
mechanism and vibrating motion both work fine, but probably not as vigorously as they did
when Pokey was brand new. The bottom of this item has a cardboard covering and is
the only part of the exterior that is not vinyl. Pokey has a few very small marks on
him and some light surface scratching on the bottom from bouncing all over the place.
He is in EX to EX+ condition.

the copyright information does not indicate who made him.

POKEY (Gumby) vinyl & cloth hand puppet
This is
the ORIGINAL vinyl & cloth hand puppet of Pokey, measuring 9.25" from top to
bottom. Pokey's head is soft and undamaged. It has some very minor paint wear
but the paint generally is in very nice condition. Pokey has four very small
(1/8") green marks on his vinyl head that are of unknown origin. The orange
cotton cloth body has "Gumby's Pal Pokey" printed on it in fading but still
easily-legible green lettering on the front. There is a small (less than 1/4")
fraying area on the neckline where the cloth is stitched into the vinyl puppet head.
Otherwise, the cloth is wrinkled but without damage or problems. The original
manufacturer's label is present and in great shape. This item was manufactured by
Lakeside in 1965. Overall, it is in VG condition. We have Pokey's counterpart
piece, Gumby, in stock at this time as well. If you decide to purchase both in a
single transaction, we'll drop the purchase price for the pair to $50.

you! This homely creature is a soft plush doll of Gumby's pal,
Pokey. He stands 6.5" tall and is bright orange in color, with black
plush mane, black plush tail, and glued-on white-and-blue plastic eyes.
Pokey has thick wires inside of his legs, enabling them to be bent into
position. He retains his original manufacturer's label, which is in nice
condition and sewn securely into his front left leg. It indicates that
Pokey was made in 1988 by Ace Novelty. The bendy wire inside of Pokey's
rear right leg occasionally pops out of his heel, but it replaces inside of the
plush fairly easily. This is this item's only flaw . . . other than its
overall lack of attractiveness!

POKEY (Gumby) bendy
This is a 4.5"
rubber bendy of Pokey, who is orange with a black tail and a black mane.
The bendy is in mint condition and has never been removed from its original
clear-plastic blisterpack or its original green cardboard mounting card.
The mounting card has some light surface wear, but is generally in nice
condition. Pokey was manufactured by Jesco sometime during the 1980s along
with a Gumby counterpart.

This is a
7.75" plush doll of Gumby's pal, Pokey. The doll is bright orange in
color with a black mane, a black tail, a pink tongue, and glued-on plastic
bulbous eyes. The doll is in near mint condition, with minor paint wear on
Pokey's eyeballs and with one of his nostrils having come loose. The doll
retains both of its original manufacturer's labels, both of which are sewn
securely into his rear end. Pokey was made by Nanco in 2000.
