LAWRENCE WELK musical spoons

Yeah, yeah, we know, we know:  Lawrence Welk is not a character from television, cartoons, movies, or the comics.  As it turns out, this oddball item came to us in a recent box lot purchase, so rather than throwing it out, we figured that we would make it available to one of our customers at a low cost just in case it happens to be of interest to someone out there in collecting land.  It is a pair of connected metal spoons, measuring 8" in height, with a blue plastic connecting handle.  These are musical spoons, intended for use as percussion.  But they're not just ANY OL' spoons . . . they're Lawrence Welk musical spoons.  They are in mint, unused condition and come in their original box.  The cellophane wrapping on the box is torn and about one-half of it is missing; but the box is in terrific condition and the spoons themselves have not been used.  The box has a drawing of Lawrence Welk on the interior panel, and several comic drawings of children and adults enjoying music thanks to their own musical spoons.  This item was manufactured sometime during the 1960s, toward the end of Lawrence Welk's television fame/career.  Surprisingly, the box does not indicate who made this item.

LINUS (Peanuts) wooden Christmas ornament -- holding wreath

This is a 3.5" tall, flat wooden Christmas ornament of Linus, who is shown standing and holding a large Christmas wreath in front of him.  He wears an orange-and-yellow striped shirt, orange socks, and yellow shoes.  This item is one of many wooden Peanuts character ornaments that we have in stock at this time.  The copyright information does not indicate who made this item, which probably dates to the 1970s.  The reverse side bears the same image as that shown, although is dimmer due to wear.  This ornament has its original gold lame hanging cord and is in NM- condition.

LINUS (Peanuts) nodder

During the mid-1960s, Lego released a set of composition Peanuts character nodders that included Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy, Schroeder, Pig Pen, and this one of Linus, who stands 5.75" tall.  He wears a two-tone green striped shirt, white socks, and brown shoes, and holds a tan blanket by his left side.  The bobbling action works very well on this item.  Linus has one small paint chip below his chin on the hollow area near where the nodder's spring is located, and no damage of any kind.  He is an excellent example of this particular item and is in NM to NM+ condition.  He even retains his original red-and-gold foil manufacturer's sticker on the underside of the black base on which he stands.
