BARNEY RUBBLE (Flintstones / Hanna Barbera) water squirter
This is a 2.5"
soft vinyl water squirting toy of Barney Rubble, who is shown from the midriff

that enables this item to be filled with water and then to squirt it out at an
unsuspecting "viewer" of the piece. Barney is in NM+
condition. He was released by Denny's in 1991.

BARNEY RUBBLE (Flintstones / Hanna Barbera) ceramic figurine

3.75" ceramic figurine showing Barney Rubble standing atop a green oval
base bearing his name in gold lettering. He has almost a diamond shape to
his head, body, and legs, and as usual, is shown wearing a brown cavesuit with
black stitching. The figure is in near mint condition, with one spot of
paint loss on the front of Barney's cavesuit (clearly visible in the photograph
accompanying this description) and one small surface mark on his right
arm. The underside of the base, where the manufacturer's copyright sticker
is affixed, has been pushed in (although the sticker remains present).
Barney was manufactured in England by Joseph Lang and Company sometime during
the 1960s. Originally, he was released as part of a set that also included
Fred, Wilma, and Betty.

BARNEY RUBBLE (Flintstones / Hanna Barbera) hand puppet
This is a 9.5"
hand puppet of Barney Rubble, shown the way he was mass produced in the early
years with green hair. The puppet has a vinyl head and a cloth body that
consists of a white felt collar, a red shirt, and mustard-colored
"hands" and chest area. Barney is undamaged but he does have one
mark along the right side of his face and some paint loss along the edges of his
green pointy hair. Overall, this item is in EX condition. It was
manufactured in 1961 by Knickerbocker and it retains its original manufacturer's
label.
COST = $25 BOXED WEIGHT: <2 POUNDS ITEM NUMBER = 0605031
BARNEY RUBBLE (Flintstones / Hanna Barbera) cloth & vinyl doll
This is a large
vintage-era doll of Barney Rubble--so large, in fact, that it took three separate scans on
my scanner to get the image you see above (that's the reason for the slight variations in
coloring--the item itself does not differ in color from section to section). Barney
was manufactured by Knickerbocker in 1960 or 1961 (1960 is marked on his head, 1961 is
marked on his tag). His body is made of a flesh-colored stuffed cloth; his
feet/shoes have hard bottoms so that he can stand and are covered with a tan version of
that same cloth. He wears a shaggy brown cavesuit that is decorated with two felt
patches, one yellow and one green. Barney's head is made of soft vinyl and he has
bright green hair . . . which is typical for many of the earliest collectibles released
for the Flintstones cartoon series. From head to toe, Barney measures
16.5". Overall, he's in EX or EX- condition. The vinyl and paint on the
vinyl are in very nice shape, with just a few small spots of missing paint along the high
points of the hair. The cavesuit is without damage, holes, or rips, but it does show
a fair amount of matting. Barney's cloth arms and legs are in fine shape, showing
faint signs of light soiling from handling over the years. Generally, this is a very
nice, very neat, and tough-to-find Flintstones collectible item.

BARNEY RUBBLE (Flintstones / Hanna Barbera) PVC figure -- golfer
This is a 2"

BARNEY RUBBLE (Flintstones / Hanna Barbera) squeak toy
This is a 6.5"
soft, pliable rubber squeak toy showing Barney Rubble standing with both arms
resting by his sides. He wears a reddish cavesuit with a flesh-colored
cross-stitch on top. Barney's squeaking mechanism has come loose inside of
him, so he now wheezes when squeezed instead of squeaking as he once did.
This item has minor paint loss on the cavesuit and moderate paint loss on the
yellow paint of Barney's blonde hair. Overall, it is in VG+
condition. Barney was manufactured sometime during the 1960s and his
copyright information does not indicate who made him.

in EX+ condition. There are a number of small spots of paint missing, but they are
all very small and do not detract from the nice, bright, shiny appearance of this item.

has never been removed from its original packaging.
COST = $9 BOXED WEIGHT: <2 POUNDS ITEM NUMBER = 0214027
BARNEY RUBBLE (Flintstones / Hanna Barbera) cloth & vinyl doll
This is a very
rare cloth and vinyl doll of Barney Rubble, dating back to 1962. It resembles the
large (16-17") version Knickerbocker released a few years before, but this Barney has
a soft fuzzy cavesuit (whereas the older one has a shaggy cavesuit) and is shorter in size
(11.5"). This item is in amazing condition for its age, probably grading as NM
overall. The cavesuit is clean and soft. The arms and legs are clean and
bright, with only very light soiling from handling over the years. The vinyl on
Barney's face/head is soft and shows minor paint wear. Like all of the oldest
Flintstones-related items featuring Barney Rubble, this one has bright green hair.
The original Knickerbocker tag remains intact and is in great shape at the bottom of the
cavesuit.
COST = $79 BOXED WEIGHT: <2 POUNDS ITEM NUMBER = 0198242
BARNEY RUBBLE (Flintstones / Hanna Barbera) rubber figure
This
is a 1.75" sturdy rubber figure of Barney Rubble, who is shown standing with both
arms resting by his sides, smiling happily. The figure is deep raspberry in color
and has black-painted features. The rubber is free of damage and paint wear is
minimal, confined primarily to the criss-cross "tie" on Barney's cavesuit.
It probably merits a condition grading of near mint. This item was
manufactured in 1987, but the copyright information does not indicate who made it.

BARNEY RUBBLE (Flintstones / Hanna Barbera) eyeglasses
This unusual find
is a 2x4.5" plastic frame for eyeglasses, featuring Barney Rubble, whose
name appears in faint lettering above the large dark brown
"FLINTSTONES" on the wrapper. These eyeglasses appear never to
have been used, as there are no lenses in them and no evidence of wear or
damage. Amazingly, they come with their original wrapper, which has fun
graphics showing Dino wearing his own Flintstones glasses while Fred, Wilma, and
Pebbles look on. The wrapper is in Fair condition, with tearing on the
right side and crinkling all around it. But the wrapper is a very rare
find for this item, which is quite uncommon. It was manufactured by SRO in
1976.

measures 7" tall by 4.25" wide. The item is in mint condition, having
never been removed from its clear-plastic blisterpack or cardboard mounting card.
The blisterpack is in perfect condition, and the only thing preventing the mounting card

has fun, colorful graphics of the various Flintstones characters on top, bottom,
front, and the sides. The box has edge wear and some seam separation,
along with damage to the cellophane window. But it is intact and in Good
condition overall. The ornaments are just about perfect, though.
