SLIMER (Ghostbusters) wristwatch

  This is an 8.25" lime green vinyl wristwatch featuring Slimer covering the timepiece.  Slimer is shown sticking his tongue out and holding his mouth wide open.  The watch is in mint, unused condition and it remains sealed inside of its original clear-plastic blisterpack and mounted on its original cardboard mounting card.  It was manufactured by Hope Industries in 1986 along with Ghostbusters No Ghosts and Stay Puft Marshmallow Man counterparts.

SLOW POKE RODRIGUEZ (Warner Brothers) collector's glass

  This is a 6.25" thick (i.e., Brockway-style) collector's glass of Slow Poke Rodriguez, from the 1973 Pepsi Collector's Series of Looney Tunes character glasses.  This particular glass has black lettering and a white Pepsi logo between the two images, along the lower portion.  The glass is in NM+ condition.  It retains all of its original glossiness and has no damage anywhere on it.

SLUGGO (Nancy & Sluggo) ragdoll

  This is a 6.25" cloth ragdoll of Sluggo, who is shown wearing a red hat, a blue-and-yellow striped shirt, blue pants, and brown shoes.  The doll is in mint condition and it has never been removed from its original box.  Sluggo was manufactured by Knickerbocker in 1973, along with a Nancy counterpart.

SLUGGO (Nancy & Sluggo) squeak toy

  This rare find is an 8" rubber squeak toy of Sluggo, who is shown standing, smiling gently, looking slightly off toward his right side, with both hands balled up into fists.  He wears a pastel yellow cap, matching pants, a white shirt, a pastel blue jacket, and matching shoes.  When squeezed, this item gives off a gentle squeaking sound.  It is free of damage and in NM- to NM condition, with a few small spots of minor paint loss being Sluggo's only flaw.  He is a licensed, copyrighted item that was manufactured by Dreamland Creations in 1955.

SLUGGO (Nancy & Sluggo) musical

  This is a 7.5" ceramic musical showing Sluggo walking along with his hands in his blue pants.  He wears a brown cap, a black jacket, a white shirt, and brown shoes with yellow soles.  He is shown standing/walking on a round white base with a black herring bone pattern on the sides.  When the plastic bottom is wound up, the musical revolves and plays its song (which we do not happen to recognize).  Both the musical and rotation mechanisms work just fine on this item.  Sluggo is in nearly perfect condition.  He was manufactured by Schmid sometime during the 1960s or 1970s, along with a Nancy counterpart.

SMOKEY BEAR plush doll

  This is a 9" plush doll of Smokey Bear, complete with denim blue jeans, a brown belt bearing his name in yellow lettering, and a tan flocked ranger's hat.  Smokey Bear was manufactured by International Bon Ton Toys, probably during the 1990s.  He retains his original manufacturer's label, which is in great shape and sewn securely into the back of his left pant leg.  This doll is in NM+ condition.

SMOKEY BEAR ashtray -- with bucket

  Irony of ironies, Smokey Bear, the national spokesbear for forest fire prevention, is shown here as part of an ashtray.  The item is 4" tall and made of ceramic.  Smokey is shown holding a grey pail of water as he prepares to extinguish a small fire left in the woods, near the water's edge, by some now-absent campers.  There is no indication of who made this item or when it was manufactured, although it probably dates to the 1950s or possibly the 1960s.  It is in mint condition and seems as if it was never used.  PLEASE NOTE: Due to the unusual shape and fragile nature of this tough-to-find item, we strongly recommend that you buy insurance along with the item.

SMOKEY BEAR survival kit

  This uncommon find is a 12x6" package containing Smokey Bear's Deluxe Survival Kit.  It consists of four grey plastic cooking pots/pans, a red plastic knife and its green sheath, a red plastic axe and its green sheath, and a wristwatch compass.  The toy is in mint condition and has never been removed from its original clear-plastic blisterpack or its original cardboard mounting card.  The mounting card has colorful graphics showing Smokey Bear watching as a boy and a girl use a campfire in a grassy area.  This item was manufactured by Larami sometime during the 1970s.  It is in perfect condition other than some curvature of the mounting card and one small nip of that card just to the right of the image of the leaf (visible in the photograph accompanying this description).

SMOKEY BEAR nut cups

  This unusual find is a package of six crepe paper and cardboard nut cups intended for use at children's birthday parties.  They feature Smokey Bear holding a wooden sign wishing a child a happy birthday, additionally indicating Smokey's friend [name] __________ never plays with matches.  These items are in mint condition and they remain sealed inside of their original packaging.  They were manufactured by C.A. Reed Company and probably date to the 1960s or 1970s.

SMOKEY BEAR bell

  This is a 4.25" ceramic or porcelain bell, primarily white in color, with a handle on top.  It shows Smokey Bear standing at his mailbox while, beside him, one cub holds a large shovel and another cub holds a Help Prevent Forest Fires sign.  This item is in mint condition.  It was manufactured by Norcrest and probably dates to the 1990s.

SMOKEY BEAR bank

  This is a 14" vinyl bank showing Smokey Bear standing on a round grassy area.  He holds a shovel upright in his left hand and a wooden sign saying Prevent Forest Fires! in his right hand.  The bank's coin slot is located on top of the sign and the original stopper is no longer present.  This bank was manufactured by Play Pal Plastics in 1972.  It is in EX+ condition, with minor paint wear and some wear on the paper decal on the sign.  Smokey's previous owner recolored the "P" on that sign, but all other writing on it is original.  Finding the original sign intact like this is a rarity nowadays, though, since it is almost always missing when this item is found.

SMOKEY BEAR rag doll

  This is a 6.5" stuffed cloth rag doll of Smokey Bear, who wears a pale yellow hat, a yellow forestry badge, and blue jeans.  This item is in mint condition and it is still sealed inside of its original box and wrapped in its original cellophane shrinkwrap.  Smokey was manufactured by Knickerbocker in 1972.  There are a few tiny poke-holes in the front of the cellophane window and some bowing of the box (as visible in the picture), but the doll itself is in perfect condition.

SMOKEY BEAR resin figure -- holding bluebird

  This is a 4.5" resin figure showing Smokey Bear holding a bluebird in his raised right hand while a grey rabbit and a chipmunk lean on their haunches by his left leg.  This figure is in virtually perfect condition.  It was manufactured in 1998 and was entitled Friendship Lifts the Heart by the manufacturer.  Surprisingly, there is no indication anywhere on this item as to who made it.

SMOKEY BEAR bank -- tipping hat

  This lovely older item is a 6" ceramic bank showing Smokey Bear sitting cross-legged, with a pale blue-grey pail slung over his right forearm.  He leans slightly toward his left and holds/tips his yellow forest ranger hat with his raised left hand.  The bank's coin slot is located in the middle of Smokey's back and the original generic black rubber stopper is present underneath the item.  Smokey is undamaged and in NM+ condition.  There is no indication anywhere on this item as to who made it or when it was manufactured, although our best guestimate is that the item dates to the 1960s.

SMOKEY BEAR ashtray -- with shovel

  This is a 4.25" ceramic ashtray showing Smokey Bear holding a grey shovel.  The ashtray has a sky and forest scene, complete with evergreen trees and a pile of firewood in front of the Prevent Forest Fire sign.  This item is undamaged and is in virtually perfect condition.  There is a small area beside Smokey's right leg, on the ashtray itself, where the factory that made this item seems to have neglected to put a small amount of the ceramic glaze.  This item was manufactured by Norcrest and it probably dates to the 1950s.  PLEASE NOTE: Due to the unusual shape and fragile nature of this item, we strongly encourage the buyer to purchase insurance along with this ashtray.

SMOKEY BEAR raised-relief tumbler

  This is a 4" white ceramic tumbler showing Smokey Bear standing on the grass with a baby bear clinging to his left shoulder.  Another baby bear clings onto his shovel as a blue bird stands on the shovel's wooden end and a pale peach-colored deer watches.  These images are all presented in raised-relief.  Above them, on the rim of the tumbler, there is black block lettering saying Only you can prevent forest fires.  This item is in nearly perfect condition.  It was manufactured by Columbine-Cody and probably dates to the 1960s or 1970s.

SMOKEY BEAR soaky -- small size

  This is the Colgate-Palmolive soaky of Smokey Bear, originally manufactured sometime during the mid-1960s.  Smokey is shown wearing a yellow plastic ranger's hat, blue pants, and a tan belt buckle with his name on it.  In his right hand, he holds a tan handle of a blue shovel.  The hat unscrews to allow access to where the shampoo originally was stored.  This item is in NM+ condition, with a single spot of paint loss on Smokey's muzzle being its only flaw.

SMOKEY BEAR resin figure -- feeding raccoon

  This is a 4.25" resin figure showing Smokey Bear having his lunch by a small pond while a green frog watches him offering a red apple to a raccoon.  This item was entitled What's Mine is Yours by the manufacturer (which is not identified anywhere on this item) when it was made in 1998.  Smokey is in virtually perfect condition.

SMOKEY BEAR mug

  This is a 3.5" ceramic mug showing Smokey Bear sitting on a log that rests on a grassy area.  He holds a shovel in his left hand and waves with his right hand, while looking off toward his left side.  The image of Smokey is provided in raised-relief on the side of the mug.  The mug is white in color with a green handle, and it has a black, block lettering caption stating Prevent forest fires!  This item is undamaged and it has no paint loss, leaving it in virtually perfect condition. The black marks beneath the caption were fired onto the item beneath the glaze when it was manufactured.  This item probably dates to the 1950s or 1960s and there is no indication anywhere on it as to who made it.

SMOKEY BEAR salt and pepper shakers

  This is a set of 4" ceramic salt and pepper shakers featuring Smokey Bear.  The salt shaker shows him holding a shovel with his left hand and his yellow-and-brown ranger's hat with his right hand.  The pepper shaker shows him holding a pail with both hands/arms.  These items both retain their original stoppers, beneath Smokey's feet.  Both pieces are undamaged and in nearly perfect condition.  They probably date to the 1960s and there is no indication anywhere on this set as to who made them.

SMOKEY BEAR soaky -- large size

  This is an 11" vinyl soaky of Smokey Bear, who is shown wearing a yellow forest ranger hat and blue pants.  In his left hand, he holds a shovel near the digging part; in his right hand, he holds a short wooden sign.  Originally, this sign probably had a paper label on it warning us to prevent forest fires.  If that is, indeed, the case, then that paper label is entirely worn off.  Since the base of the soaky bears this warning, though, it is also possible that the wooden placard never had any message on it.   This item was manufactured by Lander Company, probably during the 1970s.  It has minor paint wear on Smokey's pants and some surface wear on the glossy foil sticker on the base below Smokey's feet.  There are no chips, cracks, or breaks anywhere on the item.

SMOKEY BEAR Dakin figure

  This is an 8.5" jointed vinyl figure of Smokey Bear, who has movable arms.  He wears a yellow forest ranger hat and denim pants, with a brown-and-metal belt.  He holds a brown shovel with a silver spade on it, embossed with Prevent Forest Fires on it.  This item is in virtually perfect condition and it comes with its original cardboard hang tag, which has nice graphics of Smokey Bear's smiling face.  Smokey was manufactured by Dakin sometime around 1970.

SMURF (Smurfs) plush doll -- candy cane

  This is a 6" plush doll showing a Smurf sitting with a large red-and-white striped candy cane between his hands and legs.  The Smurf also wears a Santa Claus hat.  The doll is undamaged and in near mint condition, with light surface dinginess from being played with being its only flaw.  It retains its original manufacturer's label, which is sewn securely into the Smurf's left hip seam.  This doll was licensed by Wallace Berrie and probably dates to the 1980s.

SMURF (Smurfs / Hanna Barbera) squeak toy -- with candle

  This is a 5" vinyl squeak toy showing a Smurf holding a white candle with a red flame on it, looking upward, and possibly singing (or saying his prayers for the night).  Although the flash washed out the color, the Smurf's floor-length pajamas are actually pale pink in color.  When squeezed, this item gives off a gentle squeaking sound.  It was manufactured by Danara in 1984 and is in NM+ condition.

SMURF (Smurfs / Hanna Barbera) plush doll -- sitting Santa

  This is a 10.25" plush doll showing a Smurf dressed as Santa Claus, with a red toy sack slung over his back.  The doll is in nearly perfect condition and it still retains its original cardboard hang tag, which has fun graphics showing Smurfette near a Smurf mushroom cottage.  This doll was manufactured by Wallace Berrie in 1981.

SMURF (Smurfs / Hanna Barbera) Christmas ornament -- baby's first Christmas

  This is a 3.5" satin ball-style Christmas ornament celebrating baby's first Christmas.  The item was manufactured in 1982 by Wallace Berrie.  It has colorful graphics all around the ornament, showing a baby Smurf in front of a Christmas tree surrounded by gifts.  The ornament is in mint condition.  It comes with its original box, which is in Fair to Good condition, with edge wear and noticeable bending (clearly visible in the photograph accompanying this description).

SMURF (Smurfs / Hanna Barbera) bisque figurine -- dressing snowman

  This is a 3.5" bisque figurine showing one of the Smurfs dressing a snowman.  The snowman wears a red hat, a green muffler, and green gloves, and is shown holding a candy cane in his left hand.  The Smurf stands atop a snow-capped red oval base.  This item is in NM+ condition.  It was manufactured in 1982 by Wallace Berrie.

SMURF (Smurfs / Hanna Barbera) plush doll -- cowboy

  This is a 7.5" plush doll showing a seated Smurf dressed as a cowboy.  He wears a brown cowboy hat and has matching "boots"/feet, a brown vest, red "pants," and a red cloth bandanna with white designs on it.  Affixed to his neck, there is a small plastic medallion indicating that this Smurf is, indeed, a cowboy.  This doll was manufactured by Wallace Berrie in 1983.  It is in nearly perfect condition and retains its original manufacturer's label, which is also in very nice condition and sewn securely into the Smurf's left hip.

SMURF (Smurfs / Hanna Barbera) boxing figure

  This is a 3.25" PVC figure showing a Smurf as a boxer.  He wears a red tank top, green shorts, white socks, black shoes, and brown-and-white boxing gloves.  The pale blue caption on the front of the blue triangular base on which the Smurf stands says You're a KNOCKOUT!  This item is in NM+ condition.  It was manufactured by Schleich sometime during the 1980s.

SMURF (Smurfs / Hanna Barbera) plush doll -- Class of '83

  This is an 8" plush doll of a Smurf who just graduated as part of the Class of '83.  He is sitting and wears a dark blue mortarboard with a golden yellow tassel, and a blue shirt with Class of '83 written on it in white lettering.  The doll was manufactured by Wallace Berrie in 1983.  It is undamaged and in near mint condition, with light dinginess on the plush from having been played with over the years being the item's main detraction.

SMURF (Smurfs / Hanna Barbera) plush doll -- mirror

  This is a 7.25" plush doll showing a Smurf sitting with his legs in front of him.  He looks at his reflection in a red hand mirror that he holds on his left side.  This doll was manufactured in 1983 by Wallace Berrie.  It has no damage and only light wear from being played with, leaving it in NM+ condition.  The original manufacturer's label is in nice shape and sewn securely into the Smurf's rear end.

SMURF (Smurfs / Hanna Barbera) PVC figure -- tennis attire

  This is a 2.25" PVC figure showing a Smurf wearing a white tennis outfit, and standing in an about-to-serve pose.  This Smurf may have held a removable tennis racket in his right hand at one time, since there is a hole there with nothing in it.  This figure was manufactured in 1978 and bears the Peyo and Schleich copyright markings.  Other than being slightly dingy in color (not as bad as the photo makes it appear), this item is in fairly nice condition.  Overall, it probably merits a condition grade of EX, downgraded primarily due to the presumed-to-be-missing racket.

  This is a 3.75" PVC figure showing a Smurf standing atop a yellow triangular base, holding a fishing pole in both hands, off toward his right side.  The black lettering on the front of the base says Haven't heard from you . . . Drop me a line.  This item is in NM+ condition.  It was manufactured by Schleich sometime during the earlier 1980s.

SMURF (Smurfs / Hanna Barbera) pillow doll

  This is a 12.5" stuffed cloth pillow doll of a Smurf, who is dressed as a cowboy.  He wears a red bandanna around his neck, a tan/brown vest, and matching chaps.  This item is in near mint condition, with a few very light areas of minor discoloration on the back of the Smurf's head being its only flaws.  The copyright information does not indicate who made this item or when it was manufactured, but it probably dates to the 1980s.

  This is a 10.5" plush doll of a Smurf who is dressed as Cupid, complete with a pair of small white wings in back and a small cloth diaper.  He even has a red stuffed heart with a stuffed white arrow through it attached to his body.  This doll is in NM+ condition.  It was manufactured by Wallace Berrie in 1982.

  This is a 3.25" PVC figure showing a Smurf as a soccer player who is preparing to kick a white soccer ball.  He wears a red shirt, yellow shorts, red socks, and black sneakers.  The yellow lettering on the front of the red triangular base on which the Smurf stands says World's Greatest SOCCER PLAYER.  This item is in NM+ condition.  It was manufactured sometime during the 1980s by Schleich.

  This is a 3.5" glazed earthenware coffee cup / mug showing a love-struck Smurf sitting, dazed, surrounded by pink and red hearts and lipstick kisses.  The back of the mug says Guess who loves ya? in black cursive writing.  The mug is in mint condition.  It was manufactured by Wallace Berrie in 1982.
