OLIVER BARRETT IV & JENNIFER CAVILLERI (Love Story) musical
This is a
6.75" ceramic musical showing Oliver Barrett IV and Jennifer Cavilleri
(Oliver and Jenny) from the 1970 movie Love Story. They are shown
sitting together on the grass, with Oliver resting his hand on a brown book
while Jenny has a white one on her lap. The side of the grass has a
black-lettering caption that says Love means not ever
having to say you're sorry just as the famous line
in the film itself said. When the white round plastic base is wound up,
the musical revolves and plays Speak Softly Love (theme for Love Story).
Both the rotation and musical mechanisms work just fine on this item. The
musical was manufactured by Chadwick-Miller in 1971. It is undamaged and
in NM to NM+ condition, with a few tiny paint flecks and smudges on the
lettering being its only flaws.

OLIVER HARDY (Laurel & Hardy / Larry Harmon) doll
This is an
11.5" stuffed Oliver Hardy doll with a vinyl head and vinyl hands. He
wears a black bowler-style crushed velvet hat, a white cloth shirt, a red cloth
necktie with white polka dots, blue cloth overalls bearing his name in white
lettering, gold-colored buttons on the overalls, and black plastic shoes.
Ollie is in NM+ condition and has never been removed from his original
box. The box is in nice shape too, with some shelf wear evident. It
probably merits a condition grading of NM-. Oliver Hardy was manufactured
by Goldberger in 1986. The back of the box even retains the original store
price sticker, showing that this item used to cost $1.90. Those were the
days, huh?!

This is a
5.75" rubber bendy figure of Oliver Hardy, originally manufactured by
Lakeside in 1967 along with a Stanley Laurel counterpart. Ollie wears a
black hat, black shirt, black jacket, red necktie, blue pants, and blue
shoes. His bendy wires are all located securely inside of the rubber and
this item is free of damage. Ollie does have some minor paint wear on his
face and on the left (his right) side of his necktie, leaving this item
in NM- condition.

This is a 6.5"
rubber squeak toy of Oliver Hardy, who wears a black bowler, a white shirt, a
red necktie, a much-too-short/tight blue suit jacket, matching pants, and black
shoes. When squeezed, Ollie gives off a hearty squeaking sound AND his hat
pops up. This item is in near mint condition, with a few marks on Ollie's
face and minor paint loss on the back of his hair. It was manufactured in
1962 but there is no indication anywhere on the item as to who made it.
Oliver Hardy was released with a Stanley Laurel counterpart, which we also

13.5" vinyl figure of Oliver Hardy, who wears a black bowler, black cloth
pants, black plastic shoes, an off-white (due to aging) shirt, a red coat, and a
dark blue flowered necktie. Ollie is in EX+ condition, with minor
age-related discoloration being his only flaw. He was manufactured in 1973
by Berman and Anderson along with a Stan Laurel counterpart that we happen to
have in stock at this time as well. If you decide to purchase both items

OLIVER HARDY (Laurel & Hardy / Larry Harmon) prisoner doll
Well, it certainly
looks as if Stanley has gotten Ollie into another fine mess here! This
10.75" stuffed cloth doll of Oliver Hardy has a hard vinyl head. It
shows him wearing a black bowler and a black-and-white striped prisoner's
uniform, complete with the unlucky prisoner number 0013 on the chest. This
doll was manufactured in 1999 by Play-by-Play. It is in NM+ condition and
retains its original manufacturer's labels, which are in nice condition and sewn
securely into Ollie's rear end.

OLIVER HARDY (Laurel & Hardy / Larry Harmon) bank
This is a 14"
hard vinyl bank showing Oliver Hardy standing atop a round green base, waving
with his raised right hand. He wears a blue bowler, a black jacket, a
white shirt, a red necktie with white polka dots, blue pants, and black
shoes. The coin slot is located on top of Ollie's head and the original
stopper is no longer present underneath the base. This item was
manufactured along with a Stanley Laurel counterpart in 1972 by Play Pal
Plastics. It is in near mint condition, with no damage and some small
spots of minor paint loss, primarily on the back of the bank.

This is a 5"
vinyl wind-up vibrating toy of Oliver Hardy, who is shown wearing a black
bowler, a black suit coat, a white dress shirt, a red necktie, blue pants, and
black shoes. When the key in back of him is wound up, he vibrates and
spins/dances/moves/shuffles around. The motion of the toy works just
fine. Ollie is in near mint condition, with minor paint loss on his
necktie and pants being his only detraction. He retains his original
cardboard underside, which is almost always missing when this toy is found
nowadays. Ollie was manufactured by Lakeside sometime during the
1960s. Originally, this item was sold along with a Stanley Laurel
counterpart, which we happen to have in stock at this time as well. If you

This is a
5.25" rubber bendy of Oliver Hardy, who is shown in a pudgier form than the
earlier-made Lakeside bendy. He wears a blue bowler, a white shirt, a red
necktie, a black jacket, blue pants, and black shoes. All of the bendy
wires are located securely inside of the rubber, and this item has no damage
anywhere on it. Ollie has minor paint loss scattered about, leaving him in
NM- condition. The copyright information on his back does not indicate who
made him or when he was manufactured, although this is probably a 1970s piece.

OLIVER HARDY (Laurel & Hardy / Larry Harmon) rolypoly
This is an 11"
vinyl chiming rolypoly toy, featuring Oliver Hardy. He has a red bowler on
his head, a white shirt, a black, red, and white striped necktie, a red jacket,
and black pants. When batted about, he chimes, wobbles, and then uprights
himself again. This item probably dates to the 1970s and there is no
indication anywhere on him as to who made him. Ollie is undamaged but he
does have paint loss on his hat and smaller spots of paint loss scattered about
him. Overall, he is in VG+ to EX- condition.

OLIVER HARDY (Laurel & Hardy / Larry Harmon) jointed vinyl Dakin figure
This is
the 1970s-era jointed vinyl doll of Oliver Hardy that was manufactured by R. Dakin
Company. (We also have the Stanley Laurel figure that goes along with this item in
stock at the present time.) Ollie is 7.75" tall. He has a soft vinyl head
and a hard vinyl body. He is shown wearing a brown vinyl derby, a lavender
cotton
button-on jacket, a white cloth shirt, and a blue cloth tie with white and pink flowers on
it. His pants are light blue and are part of the molded body, as are his black
shoes. Ollie has a few splotches of paint on his behind that appear to be factory
errors (as opposed to damage resulting from careless handling over the years by his
previous owner). Otherwise, he is in fantastic condition, with no paint wear, no
missing pieces, and no damage. He comes complete with his original Dakin cardboard
hang tag and his original clear plastic with black trim bag. In the picture, the
image of the bag was reduced slightly more than the image of Ollie himself and, as a
result, it is not shown in full-scale vis-à-vis the Dakin figure itself.

OLIVER HARDY (Laurel & Hardy / Larry Harmon) Cupid doll
Ollie . . . as you
have never quite seen or envisioned before! Here, our hero is depicted in
the form of a 14" stuffed cloth Cupid doll, complete with white angel wings
on back, a yellow arrow in his right hand, and a yellow bow in his left
hand. He wears a red outfit and a matching hat, and there is a raised
white heart saying I Love You in red lettering on his chest. This
doll was manufactured by Toy Network in 2003. It is in virtually perfect
condition and retains its original manufacturer's label, which is also in nice
condition and sewn securely into Ollie's left hip.

This is
a 5.5" vinyl squeak toy of Oliver Hardy, manufactured by the R. Dakin Company in
1974. Ollie is wearing a brown derby, a lavender jacket, a white shirt, a red
necktie, light blue pants, and black shoes. When squeezed, he gives off a gentle
squeaking sound. Overall, this item is in EX to EX+ condition. There is minor
paint wear along the lower edge of his hairline and along the back, bottom edge of his
jacket. The vinyl is nice and soft and without damage.

101 DALMATIANS (Walt Disney) plush doll
This is a 7"
plush doll of one of the puppies from 101 Dalmatians. The pup is
shown sitting on his/her hind quarters, looking quizzically off toward its left
side. The pup has glued-on plastic eyes and a red cloth dog collar.
It is in NM+ condition and retains its original cardboard hang tag, which
remains affixed to the dog's left ear. The original copyright label is
present, too, showing that this item was manufactured by Canasa Trading
Corp. It bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking and probably
dates to the 1970s or early 1980s.

101 DALMATIANS (Walt Disney) ceramic puppy figurine -- walking
This is a 2"
tall by 2.5" long ceramic figurine of one of the puppies from Walt Disney's
feature-length animated cartoon 101 Dalmatians. This puppy was sold
as part of a set that included Pongo, Perdita, and several of the other puppies;
we currently have several of the items from this set in stock at this
time. This particular puppy is shown walking, crouching forward slightly,
looking upward and toward his left, with his tail raised in the air. Due
to the shape of the underside, this item has no copyright marking although
almost all of the other figurines in the set bear the Walt Disney Productions
copyright marking. This figurine is in mint condition and dates to the
1960s or 1970s.

101 DALMATIANS (Walt Disney) hard-stuffed doll -- standing / begging
This is a 6"
hard-stuffed cloth doll of one of the dalmatian puppies from Walt Disney's
feature-length animated cartoon 101 Dalmatians. The pup is shown
sitting on his hind legs, begging. He retains his original blue dog collar
and all of his original glued-on spots. This doll is in near mint
condition, with minor age-related yellowing (somewhat less in person than the
photograph accompanying this description suggests) being its only flaw.
The pup retains his original manufacturer's label, which bears the Walt Disney
Productions copyright marking. There is no indication anywhere on this
doll as to who made it or when it was manufactured, although it probably dates
to the 1960s.

This uncommon find
is a 2.75x4.5" heavy-duty china cup / mug featuring two separate images of
puppies from Walt Disney's feature-length animated cartoon 101 Dalmatians.
In the first image, the puppies play with a child's ball in a park
setting. In the second image, they romp through a Victorian
neighborhood. This item is undamaged and in NM+ condition. It was
manufactured by Sango sometime during the 1960s or early 1970s.

This is a
6.75" ceramic musical showing Perdita, Pongo, and two of their dalmatian
puppies frolicking on the grass. When the white plastic base is wound up,
the musical rotates and plays Whistle a Happy Tune. The musical
mechanism seems to be a bit on the slow side, but it works just fine, as does
the revolving mechanism. This item was manufactured by Schmid in 1981 and
is musical 2,791 in a limited edition of 10,000. It is in nearly perfect
condition.

101 DALMATIANS (Walt Disney) puppy squeak toy
This cute item is a 7" rubber squeak toy showing
one of the puppies from Walt Disney's feature-length animated cartoon 101
Dalmatians sitting on his haunches, looking startled as he looks up and over
his right shoulder. When squeezed, this item gives off a loud, hearty
squeaking sound. It was manufactured in Italy sometime during the 1960s,
but the manufacturer is not indicated anywhere on the item. This puppy has
one faint ink mark on the underside, beside the squeaker, visible only when he
is turned upside-down. Otherwise, he is in very nice condition--near mint
overall.

made this item anywhere on it. This figurine is one of several released
from that movie, and we have many of the items in the set in stock at this

his ears, legs, and body. This item is in near mint condition, with minor
age-related discoloration on the exterior of the cloth. This puppy retains
his original manufacturer's label, which bears the Walt Disney Productions
copyright marking. The doll probably dates to the 1960s (perhaps the
earlier 1970s) and there is no indication as to who made it.

manufacturer's sticker, showing that Patch was made by Enesco. This item

pretty-rare find is a 7" rubber squeak toy of Lucky from 101

face and his left ear perked up, as if listening for something. He wears a
red dog collar with a pendant bearing his name on it. When squeezed, Lucky
gives off a gentle squeaking sound. He was manufactured by Dell sometime
during the 1960s. This item is undamaged and in no worse than near mint
condition.

and yawning broadly. The underside of the figurine bears the Walt Disney
Productions copyright marking, suggesting that this item was made during the

This is a 2"
porcelain bell-shaped Christmas ornament showing two of the 101 Dalmatians
puppies playing together inside of a holly wreath. The one on the right
wears a Santa Claus hat and is licking the one on the left. This item is
in mint condition and it retains its original gold lame hanging cord. It
was manufactured by Grolier in 1994 as part of a larger collection of Walt
Disney cartoon character bell-shaped ornaments.

This is an
8.25" porcelain plate showing Pongo, Perdita, and many of the other 101

1993. It is in mint condition and comes with its original paperwork and
its original octagonal Styrofoam container.

101 DALMATIANS (Walt Disney) Christmas ornament
This is a 3.5"
resin Christmas ornament showing Pongo and two of the 101 Dalmatians
puppies sitting inside of a red toboggan together. The ornament is in mint
condition and it comes with its original box, which also retains its original
plastic protective insert. The ornament probably dates to the 1990s and
was released by Grolier Collectibles as part of its Christmas Magic
collection of Walt Disney cartoon characters ornaments.

This rare find is a
porcelain mug and tray set featuring several of the puppies from Walt Disney's
animated feature 101 Dalmatians. The mug is 3" tall and sits
in a divoted area of the tray, which measures 5.5x9". The puppies are
shown chasing one another and playing with a ball. This item is in
virtually perfect condition, including the gold-painted trim. It bears the
Walt Disney Productions copyright marking and probably dates to the 1970s.

puppy's left ear is perked up, both front paws rest on the puppy's belly, and
both legs are raised in the air. This figurine bears the Walt Disney
Productions copyright marking and probably dates the item to the 1960s or
1970s. The copyright information does not indicate who made this item,
which is in near mint condition. Its only real flaw is a green 79
(presumably the item's original price) written on the underside of the figurine.

This is an
8.25" plush doll showing Opus sitting with his legs in front of him and his

and green ribbons . . . with a red bow on his snout. This doll is in
virtually perfect condition and it retains its original cardboard hang tag,
which remains affixed to Opus' left flipper. He was manufactured by Dakin
in 1985.

This is a 14" plush doll of Opus, who is shown
standing with both flippers by his sides. He wears a red satiny bowtie, a

fruit (grapes, banana, orange) on it. This doll is in virtually perfect
condition. It was manufactured by Dakin in 1987.

This is an 11"
plush doll showing Opus standing with his flippers by his sides. He wears
a red satin bowtie with white polka dot hearts on it, and beneath his left arm,
he carries a red satin heart-shaped pillow saying Penguin Lust on it in
black lettering. This doll is in virtually perfect condition. It
retains its original manufacturer's label, which is in nice condition and sewn

It is in nearly perfect condition, although Opus' previous owner snipped off
part of his manufacturer's label. (We know his origin and year of

Here, we have two versions of the same item. On the
left, we have an
8.5" soft plush doll of Opus the penguin, from the Outland and Bloom
County comic strips; on the right, we have a 6.5" version of the same
item. Opus is shown with his feet extended in front of
him and his flippers in his lap, as he looks forlorn. He wears a red
satiny bowtie. This item was made by Dakin in 1985 and retains its
original manufacturer's label and both of its original hang tags. The
larger Opus has
no damage and only very minor signs of use-related soiling, and thus is in NM+ condition.
The smaller Opus is in NM+ condition and it also retains its original
manufacturer's label, which is sewn securely into Opus' behind.

him. In all likelihood, this doll dates to the 1980s or earlier

This is a 13.5" plastic telephone showing Opus

push-button telephone actually works! This item was manufactured by Tyco
in 1987. It is undamaged but does have some surface marks and scratches
(visible in the photograph accompanying this description), leaving Opus in EX+
condition overall.

This fun item is a
3.75" resin Christmas ornament showing Opus pouring a blue tray of ice
cubes into the front of his red holiday shorts. Atop his head, Milquetoast
holds a yellow snow-capped sign saying Have a cool yule! This ornament is
in mint condition and it comes with its original box. It was manufactured
by Carlton Cards in 1997 and was named Chillin' Out. Opus was
released as part of a larger collection of Bloom County ornaments.

This is a 3.5"
glazed earthenware coffee cup / mug, principally white in color, with two blue
rectangular panels on opposite sides of the mug. Each panel shows Bill the
Cat gagging while Milquetoast inspects Opus' behind, while Opus leans forward,
graduation gown pulled down below his behind, still wearing his
mortarboard. Opus' rear end says Grade this! as Milquetoast
comments Way too much butthair! This item is in EX+ condition, with
a few light scratch marks and a surface ring of paint loss on the interior of
the mug, where its previous owner had cleaned it from prior use. The mug
was manufactured by Carlton Cards in 1994.

This is a 2.75" plastic rolling toy of Orbity,
who is shown standing atop a pink spacecraft and holding onto its red control
handle. When the toy is placed on a hard, smooth surface, it rolls along
well and easily. Orbity is in virtually perfect condition. He was
manufactured by Applause in 1990 as part of a set of Jetsons family rolling
toys.

ORVILLE (The Rescuers / Walt Disney) collector’s glass
This is a
6.25" thick (i.e., Brockway style) collector’s glass of Orville, the
albatross from Walt Disney’s feature-length animated cartoon The Rescuers.
The front of the glass shows him trying to run and take off for flight. The back
of the glass shows him having crashed, now angrily face-down on the pavement.
Between the two images, there is a white Pepsi logo. This item was released in
1977 as part of the Pepsi Rescuers Collector’s Series of glasses. It is in
just about perfect condition, retaining all of its original glossiness.
