AMAZING CHAN (Hanna Barbera) cork gun set
This rare find is
an 8.25x7.5" plastic cork gun set featuring the Amazing Chan from Hanna
Barbera's 1970s animated cartoon series The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan.
The item consists of four small cork "bullets," a red plastic cork gun
with an image of Amazing Chan on the side, and two stand-up targets of two of
his enemies. The toy is in mint, unused condition, and it remains sealed
inside of its original clear-plastic blisterpack and inside of its original
box. The box has three side tears (all of which are clearly visible in the
photograph accompanying this description), but is completely intact. It
has colorful graphics on the front, and a plain white back. This toy was
manufactured by Larami in 1973.

ANDY CAPP trophy
This tough find is
a 5.75" plastic trophy showing Andy Capp standing at a brown bar with a
white drink cup in hand. He wears a red cap, a red scarf, a green jacket,
green pants, and yellow shoes. The black caption on the front of the face
plate on the trophy's blue plastic base says My idea of a balanced diet is a
drink in each hand! This item was manufactured by Aviva in 1972.
It retains its original red felt protective undercovering and is in NM to NM+
condition, with very light surface wear on the metallic face plate and two tiny
specks of paint loss on Andy's face being the item's only flaws.

ANDY CAPP beanbag doll
This is an 8"
soft plush doll of Andy Capp, who has a beanbag-type filling inside of his
body. He wears a red-and-black cap that covers his eyes, a blue felt
ascot, a black outfit, and brown shoes. Attached to his left hand is a
blue bag of Andy Capp fries. This doll is in mint condition and it comes
with its original cardboard hang tag, which remains affixed to Andy's left
ear. It was manufactured by Jazmines Inc. in 1999.

ANDY CAPP small figurine
This is a
2.25" composition figurine of Andy Capp, who is shown standing with his
hands in his trouser pockets. He wears a grey cap with a black pattern o
it, a green shirt, a maroon necktie, and a black suit. This item is in VG-
condition, with scattered small spots of paint loss on it (clearly visible in
the photograph accompanying this description). Our best guess is that this
is a 1960s piece, but there is nothing on Andy Capp to indicate who made him or
when he was manufactured.

ANDY CAPP & FLO trophy
This is a
5.75" plastic trophy showing Flo giving an unhappy-looking Andy Capp a big
hug. They stand atop a blue rectangular base with a red paper appliqué on
front, saying You’re wonderful, love. in white lettering. Other than
some wrinkling of the paper appliqué, this item is in perfect condition. It was
manufactured by Aviva in 1972.

ANDY PANDA (Walter Lantz) bisque figurine
This is a 4"
bisque figurine showing Andy Panda standing with his hands in his red overalls
pockets. He smiles gently and wears yellowish-orange shoes with black
soles. This item's copyright information does not indicate who made it or
when it was manufactured, although it probably dates to the 1970s or
1980s. It was released as part of a larger set of Walter Lantz cartoon
character figurines. Andy Panda is undamaged and in NM+ condition.

ANDY PANDA (Walter Lantz) pull toy
This is a rare
find! It is an 11.5x13" wooden pull toy with red wooden front wheels and
large red metallic rear wheels. It features Andy Panda, who wears a red bellboy
hat with his name on it in yellow lettering. Andy Panda is shown walking along,
looking over his right shoulder, smiling. When the toy is pulled across the
floor, the bell between the large red wheels clangs. The toy is undamaged and
the bell action and rolling action both work just fine. This item does have
minor paint loss and surface dinginess on the paper litho, as well as rusting on
the surface of the bell and paint loss on the edges of the metallic wheels.
Overall, this item is in VG- condition . . . still quite nice for an item of
this type and age! Everything on the toy is original, and nothing is missing.
Andy Panda was manufactured sometime during the 1940s by Gong Bell Manufacturing
Company.

ANDY PANDA (Walter Lantz) ceramic figurine
This lovely,
vintage item is a 5.25" ceramic figurine of Andy Panda, who is shown
casually standing with both hands in his blue pants. He wears a pastel
yellow shirt, and his pants have red buttons on front. The figurine is
undamaged and in near mint condition, with minor paint loss on the buttons being
the item's only consequential flaw. In all likelihood, this item was
manufactured by Don Roberto during the 1950s; but the foil sticker for that
maker is no longer present.

ANDY PANDA (Walter Lantz) stationery set
How
do things like this survive the years?! Every once in awhile, we are amazed at what
we find in our travels; and this is one of those times. It is a 1949 stationery set
featuring Andy Panda, originally manufactured by Whitman Publishing Company. The
heavy-duty cardboard box has a raised (by about 1/4") figure of Andy Panda on the
lid, showing him wearing purple overalls and holding a very large red pencil in his hands.
The box is 1.25" deep, 4.25" wide, and 5" tall. This set
originally contained 15 note pages and 15 envelopes. Of those, 3 note pages and 9
envelopes remain, along with the box and the original holding band for the envelopes.
The contents are in perfect condition and the box is complete and undamaged, with
edge wear being its principal "flaw." Overall, this item is in EX
condition.

ANGEL CAKE (Strawberry Shortcake) scented PVC figure
This is a 2"
PVC figure of Strawberry Shortcake's friend, Angel Cake, who is shown standing
with her legs crossed on a green oval base. She wears a light blue dress,
purple shoes, and yellow ribbons in her hair, and is shown talking on a purple
telephone. This figure is scented like angel food cake. It is in
mint condition and it has never been removed from its original clear-plastic
blisterpack or its original cardboard mounting card. The back of the
mounting card has colorful photographic images of all of the items comprising
the large set from which Angel Cake originally came. She was manufactured
by Kenner in 1982.

ANGELICA (Rugrats / Nickelodeon) vinyl Halloween figure
This is a 5"
vinyl figure of Angelica, who has tan yarn hair. She wears a black and
white furry cat costume and comes with a black face mask as well. This toy is in
mint condition and it has never been removed from its original box. The
back of the box has photographic images of all four figures that comprise the
full set from which this item originally came. Angelica was manufactured
by Mattel in 1999.

This is a 3.5"
resin Christmas ornament showing Angelica, the bratty older sister from
Nickelodeon's animated cartoon series Rugrats. She is shown with
both hands clasped in front of her, impish grin on her face, with her head
cocked toward her left side. She wears purple bows in her hair, a purple
dress, an orange shirt with purple stripes, turquoise leggings, orange socks,
and purple sneakers with white soles. Originally, Angelica was sold along
with Tommy and Chuckie counterparts. She was manufactured by Kurt Adler
sometime during the past few years. This item is in mint condition and
comes with its original cellophane bag.

ANGELICA (Rugrats / Nickelodeon) safari doll
This is a 6"
vinyl doll of Angelica from Nickelodeon's animated cartoon series Rugrats.
She has yellow yarn hair and wears an olive-colored safari hat, a maroon cloak,
a purple dress, green-and-blue leggings, an orange shirt, and purple
rollerskates. This item is in mint, unused condition and it comes inside
of its original box, which is also in very nice condition. Angelica
was manufactured by Mattel in 1998 to help promote the release of The Rugrats
Movie and she was one of several character figures/dolls sold as part of
this series.

This is a 5"
rubber bendy of Animal, manufactured by Just Toys sometime during the mid-1980s
or early 1990s. He is shown wearing a torn green tank top. torn blue
pants, and a yellow rope belt. This item is undamaged and all of the
bendable wires are contained securely inside of the rubber. Animal is in
NM+ condition.

ANIMAL (Muppets) stuffed finger puppet
This is a 5.5" stuffed cloth finger puppet of
Animal, who has an area in the seat of his pants where a finger can be inserted
to use him as a finger puppet. He wears a white shirt and black pants, and
is shown staring upward. This item is in mint condition and appears never
to have been used. It comes complete with its original manufacturer's
label and its original cardboard hang tag. Animal was distributed by
Starbucks sometime during the 2000s as part of a larger collection of Muppets
character finger puppets.

This is a 7.5"
hard stuffed cloth doll of Animal, who has a vinyl head. He wears a red crushed
velvet vest and black culottes. The doll is in nearly perfect condition and it
comes with its original hang tag. Animal was manufactured by Direct Connect
International in 1991 along with other Muppets dolls.

ANIMAL (Muppets) papier mache Christmas ornament
This uncommon find
is a 6.5" lightweight papier mache Christmas ornament showing Animal
sitting on a stack of four flattened gift boxes and drumming on a white gift box
with red ribbon. This item is in nearly perfect condition and it retains
its original thin gold lame hanging cord. Animal was manufactured in 1978
as part of a larger set of papier mache ornaments featuring various characters
from The Muppet Show, including the incredibly-rare Thog. The copyright
information on this item does not indicate who made it.

ANIMAL (Muppets) hand puppet as baby
Here, we have a
10" cloth and plush hand puppet of Animal as a baby, much as he appeared in
the 1980s Muppets Babies series. He wears a pale yellow shirt with
a white bow, and a lacy white bonnet. This Baby Animal has large plastic
eyes, a pink plush face, and two white felt fangs showing. The item has
some faint staining on the back of the bonnet and a small amount of paint wear
on the plastic eyes. Overall, it is in EX+ condition. This item was
manufactured by Dakin in 1988, as evidenced on the original manufacturer's label
that is located inside of Baby Animal's shirt.

ANIMAL (Muppets) doll
This is a 10.5" stuffed doll of the wild drummer,
Animal, from The Muppet Show. He has fuzzy pink whiskers, a white
cloth shirt, and blue denim jeans. Animal is shown with a silver chain
around his neck and bracelets and anklets matching it, suggesting that he broke
his chains of bondage in a fit of typical rage. This doll was manufactured
by Nanco, probably during the 1980s or early 1990s. The original
manufacturer's label is intact and sewn securely to Animal's right pant
leg. The doll is in mint condition.

ANIMAL (Muppets) jointed figure
This is a
3.75" jointed PVC figure of Animal, who has movable arms. He wears a
yellow shirt with orange scrolling designs on it and blue pants tied with a
white "belt." He holds yellow drumsticks in each hand and is
shown crouching forward. This item was manufactured in 1978 by Fisher
Price as a figural stick puppet, part of a larger collection of Muppets
character stick puppets that the company made at that time. Animal is in
NM+ condition.

ANIMANIACS (Warner Brothers) snowglobe
This is a 5.5"
snowglobe showing Yakko and Wakko trying to lift Dot into the air, in a
cheerleader's pose. When shaken, this item has white plastic
"snow" inside of it. The snowglobe sits atop a black wooden base
saying Animaniacs on it in light blue lettering. This item is in NM
to NM+ condition, with minor paint wear on the wooden base being its only
detraction. The snowglobe was manufactured in 1994 for exclusive sale in
the now-defunct Warner Brothers Studio Stores.

This is a 1.5"
PVC figure showing Strawberry Shortcake's pal, Apple Dumplin', happily sitting
on a red sled. The caption on this item, which was scented like apples by
the manufacturer, says My sled and I are "berry" little.
This item is in mint condition, and it has never been removed from its original
clear-plastic blisterpack or its original cardboard mounting card. Apple
Dumplin' was manufactured by Kenner in 1982 as part of a large set of Strawberry
Shortcake and friends figures, all of which are pictured on the back of the
mounting card.

This is a 3"
composition Christmas ornament of Strawberry Shortcake's friend, Apple Dumplin',
who is shown holding a pink kitten that looks quite a bit like Custard.
She wears a yellow bonnet with leaf sprigs on top, a yellow, shirt, and white
shoes with green accents. This item is in nearly perfect condition and it
retains its original gold lame hanging cord and its original foil copyright
sticker. Apple Dumplin' was manufactured by American Greetings in 1982.

AQUAMAN (DC Comics / superhero) collector's glass
This is a
6.25" Brockway style (i.e., thick) collector's glass of Aquaman, who is
shown soaring through the water with his body upwardly curved. He appears
against a round orange backdrop. This glass has yellow lettering and a
black Pepsi logo between the two Aquaman images. It was distributed as
part of Pepsi's 1976 Super Series of superhero glasses. Aquaman is in mint
condition and he retains all of his original glossiness.

ARCHIE (Filmation) rolling car
This
is a plastic rolling toy of Archie, measuring 2.5" tall and 2.75" long.
Archie is shown wearing a blue shirt as he sits behind the steering wheel of his red
convertible jalopy. This item is in fine working order and is totally free of
damage. There are several spots of paint wear on the car, primarily on the
windshield and front grate. Overall, this item is in EX to EX+ condition. It
was manufactured in 1991 and was distributed by Burger King fast food restaurants as a
premium giveaway in their children's meals.

ARCHIE (Filmation) doll
This is a 19"
stuffed cloth doll of Archie, who has a vinyl head, vinyl hands, and vinyl
bucks-style shoes. He wears a white shirt, a blue bowtie, a blue-and-black
letter sweater vest with a large white R on front, and orange pants with a thin
black checked pattern on them. This doll is undamaged and in NM to NM+
condition, with a few small surface marks being its only flaw. Archie was
manufactured by Presents / Hamilton Gifts in 1987 as part of a set of Archie and
friends dolls.

ARCHIE (Filmation) bendy
This is a 6.5" rubber bendy featuring Archie, who
is shown wearing a white shirt, a black vest with a large yellow R on it, blue
pants, and white sneakers with black trim. This bendy is in near mint
condition, with some discoloration on the soles of Archie's sneakers being its
only flaw. All of the bendable wires are contained securely inside of the
rubber. Archie was manufactured by Jesco in 1989 along with bendies
several of his friends.

ARCHIE BUNKER (All in the Family) mug
This is a
5.25" ceramic mug with a white interior, a white handle, and blue rounded
edging on the top and bottom. In the middle, there are red-and-white
barber pole-type stripes and an image of Carroll O'Connor smoking a cigarette in
his iconic character, Archie Bunker, from All in the Family. The
caption above and below him says Archie Bunker Mr. American in black
lettering. This mug is undamaged and in NM+ condition. It probably
dates to the mid-1970s, when All in the Family was at the height of its
popularity. There is no indication anywhere on this item as to who made
it.

ARCHIES ring toss
Although listed
as an Archies item, this item actually features Jughead. It is a ring toss game that
comes complete with a cardboard standup figure of Jughead, a circular purple base in which
to stand the standup Jughead figure, one yellow plastic ring, and one purple plastic
ring. The item is in mint condition, having never been removed from its blisterpack
or mounting card. It was manufactured in 1987 by Ja-Ru, and measures
12"x6" in size. On the card, we see Jughead holding two rings angrily,
Archie holding both rings as if he's about to toss them, and Veronica looking lovingly at
Jughead, around whom she has just thrown several rings.

ARCHIES /JUGHEAD JR. SHAVER
This auction is
for a plastic toy shaving set featuring Archie's friend, Jughead. The mounting card
shows Jughead with a red and white polka dot towel around his waist, a red towel draped
over his shoulders, a face full of lather, and a shaving cream can applying more lather as
he shaves. The kit comes complete with a pink razor blade case and five plastic
would-be razors (1 green, 2 blue, 2 yellow), a blue and green plastic razor, and a small
can of Archie shaving cream. This item measures 9" tall by 6" wide and was
made by Ja-Ru in 1986. The set has never been removed from the original
clear-plastic blisterpack or the original cardboard mounting card. The blisterpack
is in perfect condition, and the mounting card has only one light crease across the
middle.

This is a 6"
ceramic figurine showing Ariel swimming, leaning forward along a block of light
blue coral that has a tan starfish and some pink sea anemones on it. She
wears a purple shell bra and her red hair flows behind her. This item is
free of damage. Overall, it is in near mint condition, with a few small
spots of minor paint loss on the sides of Ariel's hair. There is no
indication anywhere on the item as to who made it or when it was manufactured,
although it is almost certainly a 1990s piece.

who made it or when it was manufactured, although it is probably a 1990s piece.

1990s. It bears the Walt Disney Company copyright marking and is in nearly
perfect condition.

lap. The bank's coin slot is located on top of the coral behind Ariel and
the original stopper is present underneath. This item is in NM+
condition. There is no indication anywhere on the bank as to who made it,
and although undated, this is probably a late 1980s or a 1990s piece.

This is an 8"
turquoise vinyl wristwatch with a pink buckle, with a cover that shows Ariel
sitting on a yellow boulder as she plays with her hair. The watch is in
mint, unused condition and it remains sealed inside of its original
clear-plastic blisterpack and mounted on its original cardboard mounting
card. The mounting card has colorful graphics showing Ariel, Sebastian,
and Flounder swimming under the sea. Ariel was manufactured by Hope
Industries in 1989. It probably will need a new battery in order to be
used, even though the item is in perfect condition.

a pleasant glow. It was manufactured sometime during the 1990s by
Happiness Express. Ariel is in virtually perfect, working condition.

This is a
3.75" Lucite nightlight in the shape of a seashell, with a raised-relief

plugged into an electrical socket, this item gives off a gentle light, just as
it should. Ariel is in NM+ condition and she works well. This item
probably dates to the 1990s or earlier 2000s, and there is no indication
anywhere on it as to who made it.

This is a 2"
porcelain bell-style Christmas ornament showing Ariel swimming underneath the
water as she holds a flower-adorned Christmas stocking in front of
Flounder. The bell is white and it has a band of gold trim around the
lower portion. It is in mint condition and retains its original gold lame
hanging cord. This item was manufactured by Grolier Collectibles sometime
during the 1990s.

ARIEL & FLOUNDER (Little Mermaid / Walt Disney) party invitations
This is a sealed
package of eight party invitations and mailing envelopes, measuring
5x4". They show Ariel "under the sea" (as the song goes),
resting her head on her right hand, while Flounder happily swims just above
her. There is a tear in the clear-plastic packaging, but it is intact and
the contents are protected well inside. These invitations were
manufactured by Hallmark sometime during the 1990s.

This is a
3.75" glazed earthenware coffee cup / mug showing Ariel coyly looking off
to her right side as Flounder swims nearby. The mug has a lavender
backdrop, turquoise accents (including sea shells), and a white interior and
handle. It is undamaged and in NM to NM+ condition, with small spots of
minor paint wear on parts of the painted surface. The mug was manufactured
by Gibson sometime during the 2000s.

ARIEL & FLOUNDER (Little Mermaid / Walt Disney) wooden ornament
This is a
4.5x6" lightweight flat wooden Christmas ornament showing Ariel bent
forward, looking intently into Flounder's eyes. The ornament is undamaged
and in near mint condition, with a few small scratches in the paint (visible in
the photograph accompanying this description) being the item's only flaw.
It was manufactured by Kurt Adler sometime during the 1990s or 2000s along with
a few other Walt Disney cartoon character ornaments.

This is a
2.75" PVC figure showing Ariel sitting coyly on a grey rock while Sebastian
happily talks to her from behind, with his red crab claws raised happily in the
air. This figure was manufactured by Applause and probably dates to the
earlier 1990s. It is in mint condition.

ARIEL, SEBASTIAN, & FLOUNDER (Little Mermaid / Walt Disney) snowglobe
This is a
4.25" heavy-duty resin figure showing Ariel coyly sitting atop a reef of
dark blue coral that has colorful shells and starfish on it. Inside of the
snowglobe behind her, Sebastian and Flounder swim amongst the pink coral.
This item is undamaged and in NM- condition. There is minor paint loss on
the back of the dark blue coral, and some minor smudging on the underside of the
item, where it comes into contact with the table. There is also a slightly
worn spot on the top of the snowglobe itself. This item probably dates to
the later 1990s. The copyright sticker on the underside of the coral reef
does not indicate who made the piece.
