ERNIE (Sesame Street / Muppets) stackable toy

This is an 8.75" plastic stackable toy of Ernie, who can be assembled as shown to form a complete standing figure of him. He wears a red-and-blue striped sweater with a yellow collar, yellow pants, and red shoes. Ernie has black polyester-type doll-style hair. He is undamaged and in near mint condition, with some minor paint loss and small surface marks being his only flaw. He was manufactured along with a Bert counterpart in 1974, by Child Guidance. As you can see from the image on the right, we also happen to have another of this item, in mint condition, with its original box. The box has edge and corner wear and is in VG condition. But it is quite a rare occasion to find this item with its original box!

This is a 2.5" PVC figure of Ernie, who is shown holding an apple in his raised right hand and a pink My ABCs book in his left hand. This item was manufactured by Applause sometime during the 1980s or 1990s. It is free of damage and paint loss is minimal, leaving Ernie in NM to NM+ condition.

ERNIE (Sesame Street / Muppets) cloth / beanbag doll

Here, we have an 8" cloth doll of Ernie, whose torso has a beanbag-type filling. He has puffy black hair and orange felt ears and hands. This doll is in NM+ condition, with minor fading on the striped shirt being its only flaw. Ernie retains his original manufacturer's label, which is in nice condition and sewn securely into his rear end. It shows that he was made by Applause in 1997.

This is a 2.75" PVC figure showing Ernie as an artist wearing a blue beret on his head. He has silver cans of lavender and yellow paint by his feet. This item is in NM+ condition. It was manufactured by Applause and it probably dates to the 1980s or 1990s.

It was manufactured by Applause sometime during the 1980s or 1990s.

This is a heavy-duty bisque figurine of Ernie, measuring nearly 3.5" tall. Ernie wears a blue shirt with red stripes and yellow trim, blue pants, and red sneakers with white laces and soles. He stands atop a green skateboard with yellow wheels. The copyright information on the underside of the skateboard does not indicate who made this item or when it was manufactured, although it is probably a 1980s or 1990s item. It is free of damage and has only a few tiny spots of minor paint loss. Ernie is in NM to NM+ condition and is one of several Sesame Street character bisque figurines that we have in stock at this time.

This item is undamaged and in EX+ condition, with minor paint loss on the top of Ernie's hair and even less on his sweater being his main flaws. This item probably dates to the 1970s or 1980s, and there is no indication anywhere on Ernie as to who made him.

This is a 3" resin Christmas ornament showing Ernie contemplating his lengthy Christmas list, presumably checking who's naughty and who's nice. He wears a green ski cap with a white pompon and a matching scarf, along with his usual red-and-blue striped sweater with the yellow trim, blue pants, and red sneakers with the white laces and soles. He holds a pencil in one hand and his list in the other. This item dates to the 1990s and was sold as part of a large set of Muppets / Sesame Street character ornaments. The copyright information does not indicate who made Ernie, who is in mint condition.

This is a 2.5" composition Christmas ornament showing Ernie as a Christmas caroler. He wears a Santa Claus outfit and holds a gold fell in the air in his left hand, while holding sheet music to his chest with his right hand. This item was manufactured by Gorham in 1981 as part of a larger collection of Sesame Street / Muppets character ornaments. Ernie is in nearly perfect condition and he retains his original hanging cord.

This is a 14.5" aluminum cake pan showing Ernie smiling as he holds a wrapped gift in both hands, underneath his right arm. The cake pan has minor wear on both the interior and exterior edges, but is undamaged. Overall, Ernie is in no worse than near mint condition. He was manufactured by Wilton in 1983.

This fun Ernie doll stands nearly 12" tall. It is in near mint condition, with light surface wear and one very small hole in the sweater near Ernie's right wrist (clearly visible in the photograph accompanying this description) being the doll's only flaws. Ernie has a vinyl head and vinyl hands, and otherwise is made of stuffed cloth. His usual attire is present, consisting of a red-and-blue striped sweater with yellow trim, blue pants, and orange-and-white sneakers. This doll was made along with a Bert counterpart by Applause, probably sometime during the 1980s. Ernie's original manufacturer's label is present and in nice condition, sewn securely into his rear end.

He has a red jacket with a blue zipper, a yellow fastened felt wristwatch, a snap-on green pocket, and a yellow button on a blue pocket. He wears blue pants and red shoes, too. This doll was manufactured by Playskool in 1989. It is free of damage and has light signs of use-related wear and surface soiling--nothing major, simply not as sharply bright as the day he was sold. This cute item is a 3" tall by 3.75" long plastic rolling toy showing Ernie driving a yellow convertible with blue tires. He holds his belly with his left hand and waves with his right arm, and is shown standing, rather than sitting, inside of the car. This item was manufactured by Illco sometime during the 1980s or 1990s. It is in NM+ condition and rolls along any hard, smooth surface very well and very easily.

This is a HEAVY-duty three-dimensional wall plaque, meant for a decoration in a child's bedroom. The item stands 10.5" tall and is made of plaster. It shows Ernie with his knees bent, both hands on his chest, wearing a green-and-yellow striped sweater with a cream-colored "E" on the chest. Although there is no copyright information on this item, it probably dates to the 1970s. This item has one shallow chip on the back of the plaque, which is totally unnoticeable when the item is displayed. There is also a hook on the back, enabling it to be hung from a nail on the wall.

This is a 3.25" round-bottomed Christmas ornament of Sesame Street's Ernie, who is shown as a Christmas caroler. Ernie is wearing a white shirt and red bowtie. He is shown singing as he holds his green caroling book. The rounded part of this ornament is bright red and is encircled with blue musical notes. This ornament was manufactured as part of a set that included Bert, Ernie, Cookie Monster, Grover, Big Bird, and Oscar the Grouch. (We have the entire set in stock at this time.) Although not marked with a copyright year or manufacturer, this licensed product was probably manufactured during the 1980s or 1990s. It is in near mint condition, with just a few small marks on the back of Ernie's head.

Beneath the base, there is a raised-relief image of Ernie's face, to be used for the stamping purposes. This is a 2.75" tall by 3" wide plastic rolling toy showing Ernie driving a green dune buggy, complete with white roll bar and and yellow wheels. He, as usual, is wearing a red-and-blue striped sweater with yellow trim. The rolling action works perfectly on this toy, which is in NM to NM+ condition. It was manufactured in 1993 by Tyco Playtime as part of a set that also included Elmo, Big Bird, and Cookie Monster.

ERNIE (Sesame Street / Muppets) rag doll in box

This is a 9.25" stuffed cloth rag doll of Ernie, who wears his trademark red, blue, and yellow striped sweater, blue denim pants, and white shoes/sneakers with blue laces and trim. Ernie is in mint condition and he remains sealed inside of his original box. The cellophane window on the box has a few deep dimples on it, but it remains intact. The box itself has colorful graphics showing Ernie, Bert, and Betty Lou in their Sesame Street apartment windows. The back of the box has photographic images of these same characters in their rag doll form. This item was manufactured by Knickerbocker (style #2600) in 1975. According to his original price sticker, he used to cost $2.47 when sold at K-Mart stores. Ahhhh, those were the days!!

ERNIE (Sesame Street / Muppets) pillow doll

This is a 16.5" cloth pillow-style doll showing Ernie holding his right hand by his belly while he waves a cheery hello with his raised left hand. He wears a blue-and-red sweater with yellow trim, blue pants, and red-and-white sneakers. This item's copyright information does not indicate who made Ernie or when he was manufactured, although he is probably a 1970s or 1980s piece. He is in NM+ condition.

ERNIE (Sesame Street / Muppets) picture frame ornament

This is a 3.75" plastic Christmas ornament showing Ernie wearing a Santa Claus hat. He is bending forward holding onto a large yellow star that is adorned with sprigs of holly. Inside of the yellow star, there is a circle where a small photograph can be inserted, enabling this ornament to double as a picture holder. The item is in mint, unused condition and it remains sealed inside of its original packaging. It was manufactured by Kurt Adler, and although undated, probably comes from the 1980s or 1990s.

ERNIE (Sesame Street / Muppets) beanbag doll

In 1997, Tyco Preschool released a set of 24 Sesame Street / Muppets character beanbag dolls. This 9" doll of Ernie comes from that set. He has fuzzy black hair and wears his usual blue pants, red shoes with white soles, and red-and-blue striped sweater with the yellow trim. Ernie is in mint condition and he comes with his original cardboard hang tag.

ERNIE (Sesame Street / Muppets) cookie cutter -- in convertible

This is a 2.75" yellow plastic cookie cutter showing Ernie waving as he drives his convertible car. The item is in mint condition. It was manufactured by Wilton, probably sometime during the 1990s, as part of a larger set of Sesame Street cartoon character cookie cutters.

ERNIE (Sesame Street / Muppets) figural clock

This very cool item is a 7.75" plastic clock showing Ernie waving happily from the front of the Sesame Street Players playhouse/theater. The brick wall of the play house is decorated with posters of Ernie and Bert, Cookie Monster, and Big Bird; and the ticket window has a sign saying Grown-ups must be accompanied by a child. This clock keeps good time and is battery-operated. The clock was manufactured by Bradley in 1981. It is in virtually perfect condition and is a tougher-to-find older Sesame Street collectible!

ERNIE (Sesame Street / Muppets) solid white squeak toy

This is a very unusual find: A solid-white vinyl/rubber squeak toy of Sesame Street's Ernie. When squeezed, this item gives off a pretty hearty squeaking sound. Ernie is 5.25" tall and was manufactured by CBS Inc., probably during the 1970s or 1980s. Although this item has no damage anywhere on it and the vinyl/rubber is in fine shape, there are a number of light stains and marks on it that have been fairly resistant to removal when we tried cleaning it. Overall, Ernie is in EX condition, primarily because of these stains and marks.

ERNIE (Sesame Street / Muppets) doll -- short-cropped hair

This is an 11" stuffed cloth doll of Ernie, who is depicted with short-cropped black wiry hair. He wears his usual attire, consisting of blue pants, red shoes, and a yellow, red, and blue striped sweater. This doll is in NM+ condition and it retains its original manufacturer's label, which is in nice condition and sewn securely into the back of Ernie's sweater. He was manufactured by Hasbro and although undated, probably comes from the 1980s or 1990s.
