CHARLIE BROWN (Peanuts) hard-cover book
This is a
7x8.75" hard-cover book of Play It Again, Charlie Brown, which shows
Schroeder playing his blue piano on the front cover, beneath a musical
staff. This book was published by Times Mirror / World Publishing in 1971
and is a first printing edition. The interior pages are intact and
undamaged, containing many colorful pictures of the Peanuts Gang. The
exterior cover is undamaged but has wear along all edges. Overall, this
item is in no worse than VG condition.

CHARLIE BROWN (Peanuts) Anri musical -- baseball player
This beautiful item
is a 6" wooden musical showing Charlie Brown as a baseball player standing
on a "grassy" area surrounded by five golf tee
"mushrooms." When his metallic base is wound up, the musical
revolves and plays Take Me out to the Ballgame. Both the rotation
and musical mechanisms work just fine on this item. Charlie Brown was
manufactured in Italy by Anri in 1972, as part of a larger collection of Peanuts
character musicals. He is undamaged and in NM+ condition.

CHARLIE BROWN (Peanuts) trinket box
This is a 4"
porcelain trinket box, referred to by the manufacturer as a porcelain hinged
box, of Charlie Brown. It shows him wearing a black-and-white baseball
cap, a yellow shirt with his trademark black zigzag pattern across it, black
shorts, and brown shoes. Charlie Brown is standing on a grassy area,
wearing a baseball mitt on his left hand and holding a baseball in his right
hand. Just below Charlie Brown's feet is where the box's hinge is located,
enabling the item to be opened for storage of very small trinkets or jewelry
pieces. This item is in mint condition and was removed from the box for
the first time ever to take the picture for this posting. It was
manufactured by Flambro Imports in 1998 as part of a larger collection of
Peanuts character hinged boxes.

CHARLIE BROWN (Peanuts) Hungerford figure -- larger size
This is the larger
late-1950s Charlie Brown Hungerford vinyl figure, standing 9.25"
tall. It shows our hero wearing a red shirt with a black zigzag pattern on
it, black shorts, and black shoes. When given a firm squeeze, Charlie
Brown gives off a gentle squeaking sound. He is free of damage and has small spots of minor paint loss,
mostly on the lower edge/sides of his black shoes. Overall, he
is in NM- to NM condition--definitely one of the nicer Hungerford figures we've
seen over the years.

CHARLIE BROWN (Peanuts) Christmas ornament -- holding gift
This is a 3"
ceramic Christmas ornament showing Charlie Brown wearing a Santa Claus hat and
coat, with red gloves, and white shoes with green accents. The back of his
coat says Seasons Greetings 1982 in black lettering. In front of
him, he holds a yellow gift box with a green ribbon on it. This ornament
is in mint condition and it retains its original gold lame hanging cord and its
original paper copyright sticker. Charlie Brown was manufactured in 1982
but the copyright information does not indicate who made this item.

This is a
4.25" plastic nightlight showing Charlie Brown running with a yellow kite
in the air behind him. The item is in mint, unused condition and it
remains sealed inside of its original clear-plastic blisterpack and mounted on
its original cardboard mounting card. Charlie Brown was manufactured by
General Electric sometime during the 1970s along with a Snoopy counterpart.

This is a 17"
stuffed cloth pillow doll of Charlie Brown, who is shown standing with both arms
outstretched from his sides. He wears a blue shirt with his trademark
black zigzag pattern on it, black shorts, blue socks, and brown shoes.
This doll is in nearly perfect condition. It probably dates to the 1980s
or earlier 1990s, and there is no indication amongst the copyright information
regarding who made the item.

CHARLIE BROWN (Peanuts) wooden Christmas ornament -- in sleigh
This is a
3.25" flat wooden Christmas ornament showing Charlie Brown happily sitting
in a red sleigh. The sleigh is filled with Christmas gifts and has a
yellow runner and yellow trim. Charlie Brown wears an orange shirt with a
blue zigzag marking on it, and blue shoes. The reverse side of this item
bears the same image, but it is dimmer than the side shown. Overall, this
item is in NM- condition. The copyright information does not indicate who
made this item, which probably dates to the 1970s. It is one of many
wooden Peanuts character ornaments that we have in stock at this time.

CHARLIE BROWN (Peanuts) pop-up toy
This is a
3.25" plastic pop-up toy showing Charlie Brown resting on a white hammock
inside of Snoopy's dog house's "attic" . . . if dog houses have
attics, that is! This toy is in mint, unused condition and comes with its
original box, which is also in very nice shape. It was manufactured during
the 1970s by Aviva as part of a four-toy set of pop-up figures, all of which are
shown on the back of the box.

This is a 3"
resin Christmas ornament showing Charlie Brown holding a silver bell in his
outstretched right hand. He wears a red-and-green ski cap, a red muffler,
a yellow jacket, green mittens, black pants, and brown shoes. The ornament
is in mint condition and it comes with its original box, which is also in nice
condition. Charlie Brown was manufactured by Hallmark as part of a four
ornament set celebrating A Charlie Brown Christmas. This item dates
to 1995.

CHARLIE BROWN (Peanuts) baseball player doll
This is a 6"
lightweight cloth ragdoll of Charlie Brown, who is dressed like a baseball
player. He wears an orange ballcap with a black brim, an orange-and-white
striped shirt, orange socks, and black shoes with white laces and soles. Very
rare for this item, Charlie Brown still retains his original cardboard baseball
glove hang tag. Overall, this item is in EX condition. There is a small surface
stain above Charlie Brown’s waist (visible in the photograph accompanying this
description) and minor discoloration on the undersides of his feet. These may
come off with a careful cleaning, but we do not know that for certain. The doll
is otherwise without problems. It was manufactured by Determined sometime during
the 1980s or 1990s along with several other Peanuts character baseball-themed
ragdolls.

This is a 7.5"
composition bank showing Charlie Brown as a baseball player, complete with a
white baseball in his right hand and a baseball mitt on his left hand. He
wears a blue baseball cap with a black brim sideways on his head, his trademark
orange shirt with the black zigzag pattern on it, black shorts, white socks, and
black shoes. The bank's coin slot is located on back of Charlie Brown's
head and the original generic rubber stopper is present underneath his
shoes. This item was manufactured by Determined in 1971 as part of a
larger set of Peanuts character baseball banks. Charlie Brown is in NM- to
NM condition, free of damage, but with several small specks of paint loss
scattered about him.

CHARLIE BROWN (Peanuts) paperback book -- all-stars
This is a
7.25x4.25" paperback book entitled Charlie Brown's All-Stars,
published by Signet Books in 1966. The book has attractive full-color
illustrations on about half of its pages, with narrative on the others.
The cover has an area where the paper was torn, by Charlie Brown's right
arm. Inside, on the dedication page, the item's previous owner wrote his
name in purple marker. This is the only damaged page in the entire
book. Overall, this item is in no worse than VG condition.

Just a little something different here, in the form of What a Character!'s Hugh standing with the Santa Rosa, California Peanuts on Parade statue of Charlie Brown (actually named Charlie Reggae Brown by the artist who made the statue). This photo was taken in October of 2012 when the town of Santa Rosa hosted a series of Peanuts character statues at various venues around town. We were out in California on a buying trip and thought that you Peanuts collectors out there might appreciate seeing the statue AND getting a glimpse of one of your friendly sellers here at What a Character! CHARLIE BROWN (Peanuts) wooden Christmas ornament -- with gifts
This is a 3.75" tall,
two-dimensional, two-sided wooden Christmas ornament of Charlie Brown, who is
shown very happily carrying two wrapped Christmas gifts under his arms. He
wears his trademark red shirt with the black zigzag pattern on it, black shorts,
and white shoes. This ornament was made during the later 1970s as part of
a complete collection of 20 Peanuts character ornaments; we have all of them in
stock at this time. This one is in nearly perfect condition.

CHARLIE BROWN (Peanuts) soap dish
This is a
plastic wall-mountable soap dish featuring Charlie Brown as a baseball player. He
wears a red baseball cap with a black brim, a red shirt with his trademark black zigzag
pattern on it, black shorts, white socks, and black shoes. The oversized brown
baseball mitt he holds is inserted into his stomach and is where the soap rests. As
you can see in the picture, Charlie Brown even comes with his original, unopened bar of
soap AND his original unused double-stick tape (to mount him on the bathroom wall) AND
with his original box! He was manufactured by Avon in 1974 as part of the company's
1970s series of Peanuts character bath-related collectibles. (We have many of the
other items Avon made in stock at this time, too.) This item is in NM+ condition.
The box is complete although it has a good amount of wear, probably leaving it in
VG condition.

This is a
3.75" PVC figure showing Charlie Brown standing on his right foot atop a
dirt pitcher's mound, rearing back to throw a baseball. He wears a
grey-and-black baseball cap, a brown mitt on his left hand, grey shoes, blue
socks, black shorts, and a blue shirt with a black zigzag pattern on it.
This item is in virtually perfect condition. It was manufactured by
Applause sometime during the 1990s or 2000s.

This is an
8.5" terry cloth doll of Charlie Brown, from the 1970s Playpen Pal
collection that Determined manufactured. (We have a few of the other dolls
from this set in stock at this time, too.) Charlie Brown is shown standing
with his arms outstretched from his body, smiling nicely. He wears an
orange shirt with his trademark black zigzag pattern on it, black shorts, orange
socks, and brown shoes. He has a foam stuffing. This item is in mint
condition and has never been removed from its original packaging. These
Playpen Pal dolls are quite rare, especially sealed inside of their packages as
this one is!

This
Christmas ornament is part of a set of six that the Kurt S. Adler Company manufactured
during the 1990s featuring various Peanuts characters. The others feature Lucy and
Snoopy, and we've got all of them in stock at this time. This particular ornament
shows Charlie Brown wearing a Santa cap, brown shoes, white socks, black shorts, and his
trademark red-and-black zigzag shirt. He is holding a green-and-yellow wrapped
Christmas present against his chest. Charlie Brown himself is about 4.5" tall.
This item is in mint condition, having never been removed from its original
package.

This is a
4.75" red plastic cookie cutter showing Charlie Brown standing with both

condition, with minor evidence of prior use being present. It was sold
along with Linus, Lucy, and Snoopy counterparts, probably during the later 1970s
or earlier 1980s. The copyright information does not indicate who made
this item.

This is a
7.25" jointed plastic doll showing Charlie Brown wearing a tan cloth shirt
with a red zigzag pattern on it, blue cloth pants, and blue plastic shoes.
He has a pivoting head and movable arms and legs. This item was
manufactured during the late 1960s along with a Lucy counterpart. The
copyright information does not indicate who the manufacturer was, although in
all likelihood, it was either Ideal or Determined. Charlie Brown has no
damage and only minimal wear on the brown curl of hair on his forehead. He
is in near mint condition.

This is a 3.75" tall,
two-sided, two-dimensional wooden Christmas ornament of Charlie Brown, who is
shown happily clutching a black-and-white candy cane. He wears a yellow
jacket, light blue pants, and white shoes. This item was manufactured as
part of a complete set of 20 Peanuts character ornaments during the later 1970s,
and we have the entire set in stock at this time. This item has a tiny
divot in the wood above the hole where the hanging loop is supposed to be, and
no other damage or paint wear anywhere on it. Overall, it is in EX+
condition and is in need of a replacement loop.

This is a 6"
composition nodder of Charlie Brown, originally manufactured by Lego during the
1960s along with Lucy, Snoopy, Linus, Pig Pen, and Schroeder counterparts.
Charlie Brown wears a rusty-scarlet shirt with his trademark black zigzag
pattern on it, black shorts, white socks, and brown shoes. When the top of
his head is touched, it bobbles along quite enthusiastically. This item is
undamaged and paint wear is very minimal. The only flaw that this item has
is a discolored area on top of Charlie Brown's head, probably resulting from
people playing with him to watch him nod.

This is a
5.75" rubber bendy of Charlie Brown, who is shown as a baseball

This item was manufactured in 1969 along with Lucy, Snoopy, and Linus

This is a
4.25" plastic push puppet featuring Charlie Brown standing on a round green
base with his arms outstretched from his sides. He wears a white baseball
cap with a green brim, an orange shirt saying Manager on it in black
lettering, black shorts, orange socks, and black shoes. When the underside
of the base is depressed, Charlie Brown collapses at his joints, and then
uprights himself again when the base is released. This item is in
virtually perfect condition. It was manufactured during the 1960s by Ideal
along with a Lucy and a few Snoopy variations as counterparts.

This is a
4.25" plastic nightlight showing Charlie Brown running along, trailing a

This is a 1"
resin Christmas ornament showing Charlie Brown kneeling happily at

item is in mint, unused condition and it remains attached to its original red
cardboard display tag. Charlie Brown was manufactured along with a Lucy
counterpart by Kurt Adler. Although undated, this item probably comes from
the late 1990s.

This is a
4.75" stuffed cloth doll of Charlie Brown, who has a hanging loop that
enables him to do double-duty as a Christmas or other decorative ornament.
He wears an orange shirt with his trademark black zigzag pattern on it, black
shorts, orange socks, and brown shoes. This item was named a Mini Mascot
when Determined made and released it back in the 1970s. It was part of a
larger set of Peanuts character Mini Mascots. Charlie brown is in mint
condition and he has never been removed from his original packaging.

CHARLIE BROWN (Peanuts) sitting musical
This is a 6.5"
ceramic musical showing Charlie Brown sitting with his legs extended in front of
him, with a forlorn expression on his face. He wears black shorts, red
socks, brown shoes, and a red shirt with his trademark black zigzag pattern on
it. When the plastic base is wound, Charlie Brown revolves and plays Somebody
Loves Me. The rotating and musical mechanisms both work just
fine. Charlie Brown was manufactured by Schmid, probably during the 1970s,
along with Lucy and Snoopy counterparts. This sitting set of musicals is
among the most desirable and most highly collectible of the various Peanuts
character musicals that Schmid made. Charlie Brown is in perfect
condition.

7.25" composition bank showing Charlie Brown as a baseball player. He
wears a blue ballcap with a black brim, his trademark red shirt with the black

a baseball in his right hand and wears a baseball mitt on his left hand.
This bank is undamaged and in near mint condition, with one small surface
scratch (visible in the photograph accompanying this description) near Charlie
Brown's mitt. This bank was manufactured by Determined in 1971 as part of
a set of Peanuts character baseball player banks.

CHARLIE BROWN (Peanuts) box-style Christmas ornament
This unusual
Christmas ornament of Charlie Brown is 3" tall when displayed as shown in
the picture. Charlie Brown himself is made of plastic and is shown popping
out of the top of a cardboard gift box. The box is decorated to look like
a wintertime snow scene, complete with snowmen and falling snow chunks.
This item was manufactured by Equity Promotions sometime during the 1990s as
part of a set that also included Lucy, Snoopy, and Sally. Charlie Brown
himself is in perfect condition. His box is undamaged but does have edge
and corner wear, leaving it in EX- condition.

This is a 5.75" vinyl
soaky, or shampoo bottle, of Charlie Brown. He is shown as an
unhappy-looking baseball player, complete with a red baseball cap with a black
brim, a red shirt with his trademark black zigzag pattern on it, black shorts,
and white shoes. In his left hand, he wears a white baseball mitt.
This item was manufactured by Avon during the 1970s as part of a larger
collection of Peanuts character bath-related items. (We have many of the
other items in stock at this time as well.) Charlie Brown is undamaged.
He has lost paint on his shirt and, overall, is in EX- condition. As you
can see from the image on the right, we also have one of these items in NM+
condition with its original box. That one also retains most, if not all,
of its original pleasantly-scented shampoo.

CHARLIE BROWN & SNOOPY (Peanuts) egg
This is a
2.75" ceramic egg showing Snoopy lovingly hugging his master, Charlie
Brown, who has a rather startled expression on his face. Together, their
images are shown inside of a red oval with a yellow center. The
black-lettering caption, presumably coming from Snoopy's thoughts, says MMMMM.
This item is free of damage but does have some paint loss on the red border of
the oval. Overall, it is in NM- condition. This egg was manufactured
by Aviva sometime during the 1970s as part of a larger collection of Peanuts
character figural eggs, a few of which we also have in stock at this time.

CHARLIE BROWN & SNOOPY (Peanuts) trophy -- can't get you off my mind
This is a
5.25" plastic trophy showing Charlie Brown contentedly resting against a
brown mound with Snoopy snoozing on his head. The black caption on the
metallic face plate on the front of the trophy's black rectangular base says I
can't get you off my mind. The trophy retains its original foil
copyright sticker and its original red felt protective undercovering.
Overall, this item is in EX+ condition, with some scrapes on Snoopy's white
paint (clearly visible in the photograph accompanying this description and light
water staining on a portion of the undercovering being the item's main
flaws. Snoopy and Charlie Brown were manufactured by Aviva sometime during
the 1970s.

This is a
5.25" composition figurescene showing Snoopy lovingly sitting against
Charlie Brown's left side. Charlie Brown wears his usual red shirt with
the trademark black zigzag pattern on it, black shorts, white socks, and black
shoes. The black caption on the red paper decal says Happiness is
having someone to lean on. This item was manufactured by Determined in
1971 as part of a larger collection of Peanuts character figurescenes.
There is a small surface chip in the lower right-hand corner of the pedestal on
which Charlie Brown and Snoopy stand, and a tiny crack in the paint on Charlie
Brown's nose. The green felt protective underside is intact, containing
the copyright information, although it is somewhat loose. Overall, this
item is in EX+ condition.

This is a
5.25" plastic trophy showing Snoopy sleeping atop Charlie Brown's head

rectangular base says Happiness is love. This item is in NM+
condition. It retains its original red felt protective undercovering and
its original foil manufacturer's sticker. Charlie Brown/Snoopy were

item is in mint condition. It probably dates to the 1990s and the

This is a 6"
vinyl shampoo bottle showing Snoopy giving a big, loving hug to his master,
Charlie Brown. Together, they stand atop a grassy mound. Charlie
Brown has a yellow plastic baseball cap that can be removed to allow access to
the pleasantly-scented shampoo inside of him. He wears a red shirt with
his trademark black zigzag pattern on it, black shorts, and white socks and
shoes. This item is in NM+ condition and comes with its original box
which, as the picture shows, has a considerable amount of staining on the back
and top. (The front is in very nice condition and displays well, but we
wanted to show the worst side so that there are no "hidden surprises"
when you buy this item from us.) It no longer retains any of its original shampoo and was made by Avon in 1971
as part of a larger collection of Peanuts character bath products. We have
many of the others in stock at this time as well.

CHARLIE BROWN, SNOOPY, & WOODSTOCK (Peanuts) radio
This cute item is a
plastic radio showing Woodstock contentedly sitting with his feet extended in
front of him, leaning against Snoopy, who is shown smiling as he sits resting
his head against Charlie Brown's left shoulder. Charlie Brown, too, is
sitting with his feet extended in front of him. He wears a red shirt with
his trademark black zigzag pattern on it, red socks, white shoes, and an
orange-and-blue baseball cap. This is an AM radio requiring one 9-volt
battery to work, and it stands nearly 7" tall. It retains its
original white vinyl carrying strap and is in working condition. The radio
was manufactured by Determined sometime during the 1970s. It is in NM to
NM+ condition.

This is a
7.25" wooden wall plaque showing Charlie Brown standing haplessly atop a
baseball pitcher's mound as Woodstock, Lucy, and Snoopy angrily look on.
The scoreboard in the outfield shows that they just lost the game 26-0.
The bubble caption above Charlie Brown's head reads When you're right no one
remembers; when you're wrong, no one forgets! How true that seems some
days, eh?! This item was manufactured by Hallmark sometime during the
1970s. The original copyright sticker is present on back of the
plaque. This item is in near mint condition, with minor surface wear on
the paper litho.

This is a
4.25" plastic cup / mug featuring two images of Charlie the Tuna. One side
shows him talking to a large grey shark, saying I knew you when you wore
braces! The other shows him speaking to his yellow fish friend, saying It’s
not about nothin’. It’s poetry! This item is in virtually perfect
condition. It was manufactured by Thermo-Serv in 1977.

CHARLIE THE TUNA (Starkist / advertising) plush doll
Here is a rather
unusual find for you! It is a 15" plush doll of Charlie the Tuna,
complete with his self-named orange beret. The doll is in nearly perfect
condition and it retains its original manufacturer's label, which is sewn
securely into Charlie's left side. The doll was manufactured by Trudy in
1983.

CHARLIE THE TUNA (Starkist / advertising) vinyl figure
This uncommon find
is a 7.5" vinyl figure of Charlie the Tuna, who is shown standing, wearing
an orange cap and black glasses. The figure is in virtually perfect
condition other than one small bite mark on the outside of Charlie's right fin
(visible in the photograph accompanying this description). This item was
manufactured in 1973 and was copyrighted by Starkist Foods.

CHARLIE THE TUNA (Starkist / advertising) cup / mug -- golf & basketball
This is a 4" plastic cup / mug bearing two
different images of Charlie the Tuna. On one, he's trying (unsuccessfully)
to it a golf ball, commenting It's diggin' the bal outa the hole that's
tough! The other image shows him dribbling a basketball while
remarking Now all I need is five tall tunas. This cup is in nearly
perfect condition. It was manufactured by Thermos / Thermo-Serv in 1977.

CHEF (South Park) large doll
This is a 15"
heavy-duty stuffed doll of Chef, who is shown wearing a white chef's hat, a red
shirt, a white apron with his name on it in black, block lettering, blue pants,
and black faux-leather shoes. He is in NM+ condition and retains about 75%
of his original cardboard hang tag. This doll was manufactured in 1998 by
Fun 4 All Corp. as part of a larger collection of South Park character dolls.

CHEF (South Park) suction cup doll
This is a 9"
stuffed cloth doll of Chef, from South Park, who is shown wearing a white
chef's hat a white apron with his name on it in black, block lettering, a red
shirt, blue pants, and black faux-leather shoes. The back of Chef's shirt
has an alien face on it, saying Believe. This doll has a suction
cup attached to it, enabling it to be attached to and then suspended from any
hard, smooth surface. Chef is in mint condition and he comes with his
original colorful cardboard hang tag. He was manufactured by Fun 4 All
Corp. in 2002 as part of a set of South Park character dolls.
