SPEEDY GONZALES porcelain thimble

This is a 2.75" porcelain thimble showing Speedy Gonzales running along a desert scene. Behind him, there is a pale tan dust cloud and on his left, there is a large cactus. Speedy wears his usual mustard-yellow sombrero, a red bowtie that he is tugging with both hands, and a white outfit. This item is in mint condition and was manufactured by Lenox in 1998 as part of a large collection of figural Looney Tunes thimbles.

SPEEDY GONZALES figural magnet

This is a flat vinyl figural magnet of Speedy Gonzales, manufactured in 1990 as part of a 12-item set that MCL released in 1989 and 1990. Speedy is 2.25" tall and is shown wearing a large yellow sombrero, a white shirt, white pants, and a red neckerchief. He holds his right arm bent akimbo at the waist and holds his left hand out. This item is in NM+ condition.

SPEEDY GONZALES puffy magnet

Here are two very similar items, identical except for their size. On the left, there is a 3" puffy magnet, made of vinyl, featuring Speedy Gonzales in a dancing "ole" pose; on the right, the 7.25" version of that same item is shown. These items were made in 1977 (no indication of the manufacturer) as part of a large collection of Looney Tunes puffy magnets of various sizes. Speedy is shown wearing a large yellow sombrero, a maroon neckerchief, a white shirt, and white pants. He holds his tail draped over his left wrist and has his right arm raised. The smaller one is in NM to NM+ condition, and the larger one in NM- to NM condition.

SPEEDY GONZALES PVC figure -- waving

This is a 2.25" PVC figure of Speedy Gonzales, who is shown wearing a yellow sombrero, red neckerchief, white shirt, and white pants. His right arm is bent akimbo at the waist and his left hand is raised in a wave or finger-snapping motion. Speedy was made by the German company, Bully, in 1984 as part of a large collection of Looney Tunes figures. He is in mint condition and retains his original gold foil manufacturer's sticker underneath his left foot.

SPEEDY GONZALES Christmas ornament -- holding gifts

This is a 3.75" ceramic Christmas ornament showing Speedy Gonzales holding two wrapped white Christmas gifts, one with red ribbon and one with green ribbon. He himself wears a yellow sombrero, a white shirt, white shorts, and a red neckerchief. This item is in NM- condition, with no damage but some wear on the paint on Speedy's feet and legs. It comes with its original gold lame hanging cord, green paper copyright sticker, box, and protective corrugated cardboard insert. Speedy Gonzales was manufactured by Dave Grossman Designs in 1978 as part of the company's second series of Looney Tunes collectible ornaments.

This is a 5.25" bisque figurine showing Speedy Gonzales perched atop a white trapezoid-shaped base. He wears a pale yellow sombrero, a white shirt, a red neckerchief, and white shorts, and is shown with both arms outstretched from the sides of his body. He is surrounded by a raised multi-colored floral and grassy area. This item was made sometime during the 1970s by Cartoon Novelties as part of a six-character set of Looney Tunes bisque figurines. It is in NM+ condition and comes with its original box.

SPEEDY GONZALES hat rack

This colorful, uncommon find is an 11.5" ceramic hat rack showing Speedy Gonzales standing with his hands behind his back. He wears a large yellow sombrero, a flowing red neckerchief, a white shirt, and white shorts. Speedy's right foot sticks out from the wall and this is the part that may be used to hang a hat. This item is in mint condition other than some minor under-the-glaze crazing in the glaze, and it retains its original gold foil copyright stickers. It was manufactured in 1986 by Bai-Dotta as part of a larger collection of Looney Tunes character hat racks, wall plaques, and decorative masks.

SPEEDY GONZALES large squeak toy

This very nifty find is a 7.5" sturdy rubber squeak toy showing Speedy Gonzales smiling and wearing his usual garb, consisting of a large yellow sombrero, a red neckerchief, a white shirt, and white shorts. Speedy has some marks on his face from being batted about over the years, but appears never to have been removed from the box or played with. He is in near mint condition and comes with his very rare, colorful original box. The box shows him holding a tall candle in front of Sylvester's face, and it bears his name and Sylvester's name as they appear in Italian language. The box has some corner wear and minor damage, but is entirely intact and complete. The figure of Speedy was manufactured by Italo Cremona, in Italy, sometime during the 1960s.

This is a 6.5" vinyl figure showing Speedy Gonzales wearing a woven straw sombrero, a red neckerchief, a white shirt, and white shorts. He holds his right hand inside of his shirt pocket and his left hand in front of his chest. This figure is in mint condition and has never been removed from its original box. The box is in EX condition, with side and edge wear, but no damage. This item was manufactured by Rubbertoys in Italy and was made sometime during the 1960s.

SPEEDY GONZALES large plastic figure

This is a large plastic figure of Speedy Gonzales, measuring 20" in height. He is shown with both arms raised in the air, looking off toward his right side as he smiles broadly. Speedy wears a grey plastic sombrero, a lime green felt neckerchief, a pink felt shirt, and grey felt shorts. There is no copyright information indicating who made this item or when it was manufactured, although it probably dates to the 1970s. Speedy's hat has a few dents and tears in the thin floppy plastic, but is intact. Otherwise, this item is in very nice condition. Overall, Speedy probably merits a condition grading of VG.

This is a 13" three-dimensional vinyl wall decoration featuring Speedy Gonzales standing against a bright green background. His image sticks out much like a vacuform would. It shows Speedy wearing a large yellow sombrero, a white shirt, a red neckerchief, and white shorts. The item is in mint, unused condition and remains sealed inside of its original packaging. It was manufactured by Three Dimensional Systems, Inc. in 1976.

This is a 15" stuffed doll of Speedy Gonzales, who wears a yellow sombrero, a red neckerchief, a green shirt with three white buttons, and white pants. He is shown standing with both arms extended sideways from his body, and he has a big smile on his face. This doll was manufactured by Mighty Star in 1971, as indicated on the original manufacturer's label that is sewn into Speedy's left pant leg. Unfortunately, he had an unpleasant encounter with a very hot lamp bulb a number of years ago, singing a hole into the left side of his face. This doll would be in NM+ condition were it not for this damage, but is only in Fair condition as a result of the burn hole.

This is a 9.5" plush doll of Speedy Gonzales, who is shown sitting with his legs spread widely apart and his arms raised in front of him. He smiles broadly and is shown wearing a yellow sombrero, a red neckerchief, a green shirt with three yellow buttons, and white pants. This doll is in mint condition and it retains both of its original manufacturer's and importer's labels, both of which are sewn into Speedy's left hip. The doll was manufactured in 1971 by Mighty Star.

SPEEDY GONZALES heavy-duty stuffed doll

This is a 13" heavy-duty stuffed cloth doll of Speedy Gonzales, who wears a floppy yellow sombrero, a red neckerchief, a white shirt, and white shorts. He has reinforced oversized feet that enable him to stand fairly well and glued-on felt facial features. This doll was manufactured in 1971 by Mighty Star and it retains both of its original manufacturer's and importer's labels (sewn into Speedy's ankles) and, rarest of all, its original orange name sash. The doll is in NM to NM+ condition.

This is a 10" lightweight stuffed cloth doll of Speedy Gonzales, who has a rather manic expression on his face. He wears a floppy yellow felt sombrero, a red cloth neckerchief, a white cloth shirt, and white cloth shorts. Speedy has glued-on plastic eyes and he is in mint condition, complete with his original manufacturer's label and his original cardboard hang tag. This doll was manufactured by Ace Novelty Company in 1996.

Speedy is in NM+ condition and he retains his original manufacturer's label, which is sewn into his rear end. It shows that he was manufactured by Dakin as part of its Fun Farm set in 1978.

He has a black felt tail, wiry polyester whiskers, a yellow felt hat, a red felt neckerchief, a green shirt, and white undies-style shorts. This doll is in NM+ condition and it retains its original manufacturer's label, which is sewn into Speedy's rear end. He was manufactured by Dakin in 1976 or 1978 (the label has a small glitch on the final digit of the date, making it difficult to know exactly what year this item was produced).

This is a 3.25" blown plastic Christmas ornament showing Speedy Gonzales wearing a flattened red felt sombrero, a brown sack-style poncho/shirt, and a red bowtie. He is in mint condition and has never been removed from its original packaging. The colorful cardboard header card shows Porky Pig waving with three balloons, Speedy Gonzales with a candy cane, Petunia Pig with a red toy sack, the Warner Brothers shield, Daffy Duck with a strand of lights, Merlin the Magical Mouse with a wreath, and an angry Yosemite Sam. Speedy was manufactured in 1978 by Liberty Bell Christmas as part of a larger collection of Looney Tunes character ornaments.

SPEEDY GONZALES large plastic figure

This is a 12.5" plastic figure of Speedy Gonzales, who is shown standing with his arms extended sideways from his body while he looks downward and toward his right side. He wears a large off-white plastic sombrero with a brown cloth band, a pink felt poncho, a lime green felt bandanna, and lime green felt shorts. There is no indication anywhere on this item as to who made it or when it was manufactured, although Speedy probably dates to the 1960s. He was manufactured for the European market along with two similar items that were two different larger sizes than this particular one. This Speedy's sombrero has some wear on the underside, two small tears on the edge, and some small surface marks on the outer side. Overall, this item is in VG condition.

SPEEDY GONZALES lamp

This very rare item is a 7.25" ceramic lamp showing Speedy Gonzales standing in front of a tree trunk, on top of which the metal light bulb post is placed. Speedy himself wears a yellow sombrero, a white shirt, white shorts, and a red neckerchief, and he is shown holding a wedge of cheese in both hands. This fully-copyrighted item was manufactured in Italy in 1975, probably by Alpa. It is in mint condition and has a European-style wall plug. So uncommon is this item that the one I own is the only one I have ever seen.

This is a 6" ceramic liquor decanter showing Speedy Gonzales looking off toward his left side, smiling. He wears a yellow sombrero, a white shirt, a red neckerchief, and white shorts, and is shown holding a cheese wedge in both hands. He is in mint, unused condition although his original contents have evaporated over the years. Speedy comes with his original cardboard hang tag, his original box, and his original taxation and importation stickers. He was manufactured in Italy in 1975 by Alpa as part of a larger collection of Looney Tunes character liquor decanters.

This is an 8.75" jointed vinyl figure of Speedy Gonzales who is shown standing atop a round plastic faux-marble base that says Have a speedy recovery! in black, block lettering. This item is in virtually perfect condition and it retains its original manufacturer's copyright sticker, which is affixed to the green felt protective undercovering beneath the base. Speedy was manufactured by Dakin in 1971 along with several other Goofy Gram figures of the Looney Tunes characters.

This is a 10.25" bank showing Speedy Gonzales standing atop a yellow triangular wedge of cheese with orange holes. The bank's coin slot is located on top of the cheese wedge and the original stopper is present beneath it. Speedy himself wears a floppy yellow rubber sombrero, a red cloth neckerchief, a green cloth shirt, and white cloth shorts. He was manufactured by Dakin in 1971 and is in virtually perfect condition.

Speedy was manufactured during the mid-1960s by Colgate-Palmolive along with numerous other Looney Tunes character soakies.

This item was manufactured in 1974 by Dakin as part of a now-rarely-found mini-Goofy Grams series of Looney Tunes characters. Speedy is in near mint condition and is a very uncommon find.

This is an 8" heavy-duty rubber squeak toy showing Speedy Gonzales with both hands lifting up his sagging red neckerchief. He wears a tan/mustard-colored sombrero, white shorts, and a white shirt too. When squeezed, he gives off a hearty squeaking sound. Speedy has only minor paint loss, no damage, and some residue on the undersides of his feet. Overall, he is in near mint condition. This item probably dates to the 1960s and most likely was manufactured for distribution on the European market. So rare is this piece that the one I own is the only one I have ever seen.

This is a 3" silver bell showing a jubilant-looking Speedy Gonzales raising his left hand and index finger high in the air. The bell is in NM to NM+ condition, with minor tarnishing being its only flaw. It was manufactured in 1987 by the New England Collector's Society as part of a large collection of Looney Tunes character silver bells.

This is a 9" vinyl hand puppet of Speedy Gonzales, who has an all off-white body, a yellow sombrero, and a red neckerchief. Speedy was originally distributed as a promotional giveaway along with toothpaste. He is in NM+ condition and originally had Sylvester, Tweety, Wile E Coyote, Road Runner, and Yosemite Sam counterparts.

This rare find is a 5.25" plastic trophy showing Speedy Gonzales standing with both arms extended sideways from his body. He wears a yellow sombrero, a red neckerchief, a white shirt, and white shorts. The black, block lettering on the front of the metallic face plate on the front of the trophy's black rectangular base says Geev Me a Kees. This item is in virtually perfect condition and it retains its original manufacturer's foil sticker. Speedy was manufactured in 1971 by Aviva as part of a rarely-found Looney Tunes character trophy set.

This is a 4.5" latex squeak toy showing Speedy Gonzales standing with his arms outstretched from his sides as he smiles and looks off toward his left side. He wears a yellow sombrero, a red neckerchief, a white shirt, and white shorts. This item is in mint condition and it remains sealed inside of its original packaging. The cardboard header card has colorful graphics (with a $3.99 price carelessly written over them in black magic marker) showing a horizontal red Looney Tunes banner with Tweety, Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, and Tasmanian Devil poking through it. Speedy was manufactured by Vo-Toys in 1992 as part of a larger collection of Looney Tunes character dog toys.

This is a 5.75" bisque figurine showing Speedy Gonzales standing on a flowery grassy area perched atop a trapezoidal base. He stands with both arms extended downward and sideways from his body, happily. The black caption on the front of the base says, in French, Souris moi, je t'aime which translates to "Make me smile, I love you" in English. The figurine is in virtually perfect condition. It was manufactured in 1981 as part of a larger collection of French-captioned Looney Tunes character bisque figurines, but the copyright information does not indicate who made Speedy.

This uncommon find is a 3.25" PVC rolling toy showing Speedy Gonzales sitting with his legs spread wide apart in the pilot's seat of a topless blue airplane. The plane's white corrugated wheels turn well, enabling this item to be used as a rolling toy. It was manufactured in West Germany in 1984 by Bully, and is hand-painted. Speedy is in NM+ condition and he was released as part of a large set of Looney Tunes figures and rolling toys.

This is a white one-size-fits-all T-shirt showing Speedy Gonzales standing with both arms extended from his sides. Above him, in black, block lettering the caption says Arriba! Arriba!! The shirt is in mint condition and it retains its original manufacturer's label. It was made in 1987 as part of a larger set of Looney Tunes T-shirts, but the copyright information does not indicate who made this item. Originally, Speedy cost $15.

This is a 1.75x1.25" vinyl refrigerator magnet showing Speedy Gonzales lurching forward, almost as if doing a high hurdle. The magnet was manufactured in 1979, but there is no indication of who made it. Speedy was released as part of an 18-magnet set, and he is in near mint condition.

SPEEDY GONZALES "aariba" doll

This is a very rare find! It is a 13" lightweight plush doll of Speedy Gonzales, whose yellow sombrero says Aariba on it in black lettering. Speedy wears an off-white cloth shirt and matching shorts, along with a floppy red felt bowtie. He has orange felt hands and matching feet that can be bent at will. This doll is in near mint condition. It is probably a Mexican or European market product dating to the 1960s, but there is no indication anywhere on the doll as to who made it or when it was manufactured.

This is a 7.5" unglazed ceramic bank showing Speedy Gonzales standing in front of a large pale yellow wedge of cheese. His sombrero says Viva Mexico! and he is shown looking upward. The bank's coin slot is located on the back of Speedy's sombrero, and the only way to get money out of the bank would be to smash it. This item was manufactured during the 2000s as a knock-off piece sold in Mexican cities along the U.S./Mexico border. It is in nearly perfect condition and was purchased at a small flea market just north of the Mexican border, near San Diego, in October 2008.

SPEEDY GONZALES large jointed figure

This is a 13" lightweight (probably hollow) plastic figure of Speedy Gonzales, who is part of a three-figure set manufactured primarily for distribution in the Mexican and South American markets. Speedy wears his original light blue felt bandanna, his original red felt shirt, and his original olive green felt pants, as well as his original brown flocked plastic sombrero. His sombrero has some crinkles on back, but the item is otherwise in no worse than near mint condition. I purchased this at a toy show in Newark, DE (thanks Mike!!) in 2010.

SPEEDY GONZALES & BUGS BUNNY toiletries set

Now here is a combination you won't see very often! It is a 13x6" boxed set of Speedy Gonzales and Bugs Bunny children's toiletries. Speedy is a figural hairbrush, showing him standing with his left hand behind his back as he looks off toward his left side, smiling. Bugs is blue and is the toothbrush holder. The set comes with its original, unused red toothbrush and its original white, unused comb. It is in mint condition and remains sealed inside of its original box. The plastic covering on the box has some tears, but it is intact. This item was manufactured in and imported from Italy, and it is a licensed Warner Brothers product. It was made by Andriolo and it probably dates to the later 1960s or 1970s.
